Guest guest
Hi Tony, I don't see any mention of thyroid or other hormones on your list. Maybe you have a low thyroid, low cortisol or have other hormonal imbalances. Have you done any tests for these? If not, have a look at Dr Rind's metabolic symptoms matrix here: http://www.drrind.com/therapies/metabolic-symptoms-matrix which shows symptoms of adrenal and thyroid issues. Dr Rind lists brain fog with poor adrenal function but I had a lot more brain fog when my thyroid was low (fog & poor memory) and taking natural thyroid helped dramatically with those symptoms and others. When there is a short-lived or no improvements from giving supplements to our kids, one reason is irregular brain activity or seizure-like activity. I don't know if this could apply to you, but maybe it's worth checking out. on the frequent-dose-chelation site is an adult who starting taking anti-seizure meds and lost a lot of symptoms. Search the archives for more information to see if this corresponds to what you are feeling. Are you amalgam-free? Are you chelating yet? Hope this helps, > > Hi All, > > I am continuing to have brain function issues and would like to know if you can help. Guest guest
You might try one or more of the following: Increase the dose of co-q-10. Take a good b-complex supplement. You may also need carnitine to properly absorb it. Most b-complex supplements lack PABA. Especially if you have any gray hair, you might try looking for this b vitamin separately. Glyconutrients help support nerve/brain function. I got my best results when combined with coconut oil and a good quality sea salt. I usually buy Celtic sea salt but McCormick's French Grey is almost as good and is locally available in my corner grocery store. So when I run out and haven't ordered Celtic sea salt in time, I pick up some of that to tide me over. All three of these can cause diarrhea. Start one at a time, at a low dose, and work your way up. At one time, I was take about 1 teaspoon of glyconutrients, 1 tablespoon of coconut oil, and 2 tablespoons of sea salt per day. However, you may not need anywhere near that much salt. My genetic disorder causes the body to misprocess salt and I purge it at fairly high rates. If you have any reason to believe it is related to infection, I took a combination of olive leaf extract, vitamin a and vitamin e for nearly 2 years to clear my system of multiple infections. I generally function better since then. Plus you should do a survey of your home and determine if you have an ongoing exposure to some problem item (to something which is a problem for you personally), such as: toxic household cleaners; off-gassing from particle board and MDF furniture; off-gassing from plastic, rugs, and similar; metal poisoning from pots, pans and other kitchen items, etc. If you have on-going exposure to something messing you up, you will remain on a treadmill that you can't get off. Remove the exposures and you will start making headway. Good luck with this. Guest guest
Have you ever tried acupuncture??? This has helped me so much, helps to clear the energy so that it is going down instead of up (this is my problem)..if she doesn't clear my liver and gall bladder, I have trouble sleeping (I guess the liver is working too hard)..... I have a great dr that has tested by adrenals, thyroid, hormones, cholesterol.....maybe a trip to a conventional dr is in order, just to make sure everything is working well!!!! Guest guest
Tony, Not many here would put a sad face after losing 40lbs. This is not weight you could afford to lose? I think I remember you saying you lost muscle mass. Ever considered raising the carbs or using a digestive enzyme for the proteins? > > Hi Ann, > > Yes, I am Gluten free and on a low-carb diet.
