And I forgot to say that I agree that the Pink Himalayan Salt would be ideal

versus sea salt for folks that are dealing with metal toxicity

salt " ) and the other 4% is stuff like anti-caking agents, iodine that they

add (because the Midwest was the " Goiter Belt " years ago due to lack of

access to salt water fish), and a few other things that have little or no

nutritional value. In contrast, Celtic sea salt is about 84% sodium chloride

and the other 16% is a mix of 80-some-odd micronutrients found naturally in

sea water. Since life on the planet supposedly originated in the sea, it

makes sense to me that the chemical mix found there would be more

life-enhancing/life-supporting than other forms of salt.

don't have time to search more right now. One piece talked about a study

where they compared the impact of sea salt vs. table salt on animals. As a

control, they had another group of animals that were not fed anything at all

-- were simply starved. They found that the animals which were starved died

slower than the animals fed table salt as part of their diet. Their

conclusion: table salt is actually " poisonous " and kills, whereas good

quality sea salt supports and improves health. I have no idea how scientific

that study was or how reliable the source was. But it's a story that really

struck me. These days, my sons and I refer to table salt as " industrial salt

because we only use it for " industrial " purposes like scrubbing mold off

the sink. We think it pretty much tastes like poison.
