should I get a flu shot, also RA and transfusion

I was just wondering about getting a flu or pneumonia vaccine this

year. I am a little concerned as to how they work and how will they

effect my body. I haven't had a cold or flu in a very long time but it

is not much consolation considering my many other medical problems.

I have another question. My RA came about a month after I had 2 units

of blood transfused. Is this a coincidence or is there some research

to suggest there is a realation between the two?
