You've got a yeast issues. Do you have a protocol in place? Up, try something

more.

[ ] 2 rounds, kid is driving me nuts

Hi all,

I chelate my son 5yrs 40lbs Mon thru Wed 5mgs of Chemet. Wednesday night when

I got him out of his epsom salt bath, his back side was covered in prickly red

bumps, is this metals coming out? Also on Thursday morning he didn't want to

drink his coconut milk because he said it tasted like metal. I homeschool him

and he is being very difficult. I can't get him to do anything. I have took tv

time away, no outside play but nothing is making any difference. He is

constantly squealing and driving us nuts. Is all of this from chelation and it

will get better? I need suggestions! I don't want to put him in school for

several different reasons but if he continues like this I'll have too. Also he

has discovered himself and always has his hands in his pants or down...Help!

Chemet is DMSA. It should be given according to its half-life, every 4

hours around the clock, to prevent redistribution of metals.

DMSA also aggravates yeast problems, which is what the terms " squealing "

and " prickly red bumps " make me think of...

The hands in the pants has always been yeast in my son....not quite discovering

himself, but l realize he is in some kind of discomfort. What is your yeast

protocol? What is Chemet made of? Had never heard about it...

When l have chelated myself, or take chelating supps I also feel a strange

metal flavor/sensation coming from my teeth!! (No amalgams here), l come to the

question whether metals are not only being mobilized but efficiently escorted

out.... How are you supporting him?

I have a question. My son has many symptoms that seem to be yeast, but when the

GI doc did a colonoscopy, he assured me they tested for parasites and yeast and

found nothing. I am very confused.

When did you do that procedure???I am sorry to disappoint you, but yeast will

not come out in a colonoscopy, and, in any case, the situation can flare, change

radically, even within hours... My kid got done: colonoscopies (2) endoscopy,

biopsies (from the whole GI) and NOTHING came out.... Nothing. But he had yeast

and inflammation so bad, he suffered non-stop diahrrea for 2.5 yrs, (God bless

SCD, the only solution we found for him, he is now potty trained!!!) the " best "

drs sent me off with a kind: " sorry, I can't help u anymore " and a 4 yo kid in

diapers and diarrhea so bad it would run through to his feet.... Treat yeast

systemically, keep it always in mind, be guided by your instinct and knowledge

of symptoms rather than lab tests. Even if you do a specific test that will

show GI problems, like organic acids test, you will not get a positive for this

and that bug, but rather they will find the toxic off-products pathogens pour

in a person's gut and that are responsible for the health problems e.g., high

arabinose (blood) shows presence of candida... Even if it comes out negative in

a stool test. My experience is reduced to: no matter what yeast medication l

did, if I fed the child w foods he couldn't process, they always come back, I

believe the key to cure his intestines has been the food he eats now. Every now

and then l see yeasty behaviors again, but l get it controlled quite fast

because it flares due to other conditions (like some supplements or previous

chelation attempts we have done), but the current GI conditions (food) won't let

it thrive....

Just my 0.02

Wish u luck

I have a 15 year old, recovered verbal son who I still chelate. BELIEVE HIM....

it's yeast!

While you may not have persistent yeast ie. the colonoscopy, DMSA causes

" flares " which give you jock itch like crazy. If you treat for yeast the entire

time you're chelating, this will not happen. You can use GSE or Candex (like

very much) and it will keep the yeast flares away.

Note that we are just beginning year 3 so don't have yeast flares too much

anymore without using products. This is because the body/gut is mostly healed

and we have pulled out most of the metals and are on the tail end. We also

don't need special diets either..... so a lot of things heal when you get those

metals out. Also, he never showed yeast symptoms prior to chelation either and

just had high levels of bad bacteria.... (usually some levels of yeast do

accompany bad bacteria however).

We call it the YEAST BEAST for a reason. It is indeed nasty. You can get a

yeast infection without having persistent yeast..... ever had one? It's very,

very itchy in private places!

So get your yeast protocol in place and try again...... It will be okay.

Janice

Mother of Mark, 15

Treat the yeast and all will be well.

These were all yeast here.

Then the yeast is not residing there. It can reside almost anywhere in the

body.

So it couldn't hurt to do a yeast protocol?

So what must I do? He has been taking Diflucan for 6 weeks now, should I take

him off of it and try something else? Should I stop chelating until it is under

control...I really don't want to stop, I was going to add in ALA the next round.

quick thoughts....check fluorides, bromines...dumping, exposure to these can

affect my girl, with these behaviors. Extra Vit C (foods, oranges & orange

juice, usually) and more salt (kosher in a bath w/the epsom) helps immensely...

it sounds like you have tried to pinpoint the more common reasons for this

behavior...for us, it is first place to look, while for most on this board, it

is mostly the mercury connects.

Try keeping the Diflucan and add something, like biotin or GSE.

You might want to wait an extra week before starting the next round.
