So my little chewy guy has a bit of a rash around his mouth. Anyone use coconut

oil as a moisturizer. I am trying to find the most natural cream for that area

because whatever I put on it ends up in his mouth when he chews. I am going to

try the parasite protocol I hope it helps. Can I also use the coconut oil a an

all over body moisturizer for him. I am in Canada and in the winter you need to

moisturize and especially after an Epsom salt bath, it makes my feel dry so I am

sure it does for him too.

Use it as a cream and rub the kid down with it every night. Works very well and

doesnt leave an oily residue. Also works well as a deep conditioner.

Yes I use coconut oil as a moisturizer for me and my kid... He licks his face as

much as he can with that little tongue but it still fights dryness!!!. For a

fancier faster option with a less marked smell l discovered this: Smooth Skin

from www.seagateproducts.com they sell an oil (bit pricy) made out of shark

liver oil, coconut oil, olive oil, vanilla oil and vitamin E. It is the day time

version, I love the results on myself too!!

Boy I am learning all kinds of new things. I get severe dry skin and have

literally tried everything over the counter with little results. :) Trish

Yes. We use coconut oil as a butter substitute, an oral supplement, and as a

moisturizer/lip balm. I use it in place of body lotion. It smells nice and works

very well, especially in winter (I'm in NE of US).

We are doing parasite treatment right now - again - it's kind of like yeast, we

have to keep a check on it (he was petting dogs this past month, and in homes

with dogs).

Be prepared: our experience is that during treatments we see some less than

desirable behaviors and odd stool changes. This morning I was awakened at the

crack of dawn by my 6 yr old son jumping on me crying/screeching about I don't

know what, and him head slamming me - full force right square on the nose. Good

morning? Nothing like a bloody nose to start the day. I just hope I don't wake

up tomorrow with shiners from it. He was horribly distraught, and he never could

figure out why.

But after treatment, we see always have seen GREAT gains.

I make my own moisturiser for ds's eczema from single eczema products that don't

do the job by themselves; been mixing 3 products together along with a couple of

vitamin E capsules, organic olive oil, omega 3 oil, Emu oil and Coconut oil,

mixes together pretty well, although it could be a bit thicker, it absorbs

brilliantly.

My son is constantly getting a rash around his mouth from licking and

sucking/biting his lower lip area. I used coconut oil ALL the time around my

son's mouth and in his diaper area when he has a rash but I just bought

California Baby's Calendula Cream to use also b/c the school nurse wanted

something to have that was more convenient than coconut oil. Within days of

using the calendula cream, the rash around his mouth was gone. It doesn't have

any gluten, casein or soy which is what my son can't have so I'm very pleased

with it. I also bought a few tubes of all natural shea butter lip balm from Ebay

which is convenient to put in his backpack and in my purse. Email if you would

like th seller's info.

We use both coconut oil and olive oil as moisturizers here. But do be aware

that when you use large amounts of coconut oil..it does work as an antiviral and

can flare yeast...at least at my house. If you are wanting something just to

moisturize without the viral issues...try olive oil.
