Guest guest
My rheumatologist says that Glucosamine and Chondroitin will neither help nor hurt rheumatoid arthritis, but they might help osteoarthritis. I haven't asked about MSM. God bless. ----- Original Message ----- From: ramyst66 Rheumatoid Arthritis Sent: Saturday, December 03, 2005 3:10 PM Subject: glucosamine & chondroitin msm Today I started taking these. Guest guest
Harold, that's what my doctor said about Glucosamine and Chondroitin...I was gonna start taking it and had already bought a big bottle of it at Sam's. He told me the same thing that you posted...so it's going to waste. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Maggie http://www.4HockeyFans.com http://www.4FloridaHockey.com MSN: Maggies1429 AOL: Maggies85 Harold Van Tuyl wrote: My rheumatologist says that Glucosamine and Chondroitin will neither help nor hurt rheumatoid arthritis, but they might help osteoarthritis. Guest guest
Hi everyone- Just chimming in on this. I wasnt taking either of these because I didnt think it helped either. I buy it in max strength for my DH because it works for him especially working 10 hours a day on his feet. Since I take serrapeptase that arthritis eating enzyme, I bought a starter kit on ebay of gluc 1500 mg/1200chondritin with serrapeptase. I took half a caplet until the starter kit ran out and I am noticing a huge difference in my overall joint pain. Most especially my hips. Usually the pain forces me to get it right away. I bought another bottle of caplets via ebay max strength and take half a caplet each night. I take serrapeptase 30mg seperately. I think my RA is turning into OA and I have advanced osteoporosis so maybe that is why its helping. I think we should try things and give it a try. Nothing ventured nothing gained. For those who have unused bottles of the stuff, give them to a family member. They can make use of it!!! You can sell it on ebay and get your money back. Who knows maybe I will bid on it. Wishing everyone a pain free day, Deborah
Guest guest
Hi, I have held back from saying anything about this, but here goes. I disagree with the doctors on this one, totally. The glucosomine may help with the immediate pain of osteo arthritis more but it is intended to be used long term, and over the long term it will help anyone preserve their joints, meaning of course it helps RA sufferers, but maybe not with todays pain as much as the long term.
