Guest guest
Don't do it!! My oldest son got his removed because he was always getting sick and afterwards kept getting sickanyways. Why would you want to remove, part of your inmune system. As far as the Adenoids......they grow back, so you will have to keep taking them out. Guest guest
Because it just seems like he always has strep, and now he's getting tics associated with the strep bacteria. His tonsils seem to be an infection vector for him. I really don't want to do anything unnecessarily, but I want the PANDAS gone. Not sure if this is the way to go. Thank you for your advice. Has anyone had any positive experiences with chelation AC style and recovery from PANDAS? > > > > > > > My second son has been diagnosed with PANDAS. Guest guest
Not for Pandas, but one girl I went to high school and my sister was about 35, was a major surgery for an adult to go through. Both were much better for it. My sister has no regrets and was much healthier for it. Tammy [ ] tonsils out for PANDAS My second son has been diagnosed with PANDAS. We were seeing slow and steady progress until we went to Hawaii and he got a GI bug. I had to stop all sups for 4 days because he couldn't hold them down. He also had a 103 fever for one day and a low grade fever the remainder of the course of his illness. He got better, but refused to eat anything but chips. Now I have him on his regular diet, but he is left with verbal and eye tics. Azithromycin used to help, but it doesn't seem to work anymore. My son is approx. 40 lbs. I thought it could have been yeast, but a high dose yeast protocol had no effect on his tics. Then I tried OLE and saw some very transient improvement. This leads me to think it's viral. I was wondering the dose/day for a 40 pound boy. Also, I was told the rate limiting factor in my son's recovery from PANDAS is his tonsils and adenoids with the recurring strep. Has anyone ever had a tonsilectomy that produced some improvements with PANDAS? Thanks, Pam
