Dear Dana,

May I join the question: I am thinking about using kefir during chelation. Do yo

think it's safe to use kefir prepared in the almond mild using dairy based

grains?

thanks in advance for your reply!

Dana,

What foods and anti fungals should be used in diarrhea? Or during chelation

It depends on why there is diarrhea. At my house, yeast was constipating for 4

of us, and caused diarrhea for one of us. Bad bacteria caused diarrhea for 2 of

us.

So if the diarrhea is caused by yeast, then increase the yeast protocol. Adding

biotin would be a good start.

If the diarrhea is caused by bad bacteria, reduce the yeast protocol and add

something for bacteria [OLE, certain probiotics].

If the diarrhea is caused by food intolerances, remove that food and/or add

digestive enzymes.

Rice is typically constipating, so you can try adding rice.

If the diarrhea is caused by a supplement, or lack of a supplement, make that

change.

So I can't really answer your question without knowing the cause of the

diarrhea.

I don't know what is a " dairy based grain " , but if you are concerned because of

the possible casein content, it depends on how sensitive your child is to eating

casein, and how much casein will be in the product. For my son, it was not the

casein portion of milk that caused problems, it was the milk fat. My son

tolerated small amounts of milk with digestive enzymes, and then tolerated as

much milk as he wanted as soon as I started mito cocktail.

Dana,

We just started biotin last week. He was a bit " off " after we started. Is

this due to die off? Now I am seeing some good things: more focus and less

stimming. How long should I wait to add something else? I am assuming that

would be GSE for yeast? I'm sorry, I am getting confused. Then what is OLE

for?

I just want to know the next thing to add in. We are anxious to start ALA

transdermally, but want to get this yeast protocol well underway first.

What's next after biotin? He is already on omega's, ALC, E,D3, C, selenium,

milk thistle, Co Q 10, zinc, flax seed meal, and a multivitamin and a multi

mineral. He takes 1/2 mg of melatonin to aid in falling asleep (even now if

we don't give this he would stay wide awake).

Thanks Dana,

Haven

If you start with low doses and add one thing at a time, you will notice if

there is a negative reaction to something.

Possibly. What was the dose?

Until he is stable on the biotin.

Is the biotin helping to control the yeast? You may not need GSE, or you may

not need as much GSE as you would have used without biotin. I was able to

significantly decrease the GSE once I added biotin.

Bacteria and viruses.

What are his issues that you want to address?

If the biotin is controlling the yeast by itself, then you don't need anything

more for yeast at this time. Starting chelation may increase yeast, and you can

either increase the biotin, or add GSE or some other active yeast killer.
