Guest guest
Didn't see where this was answered, but of course I could have missed it. I don't see where the hair test meets any counting rules exactly, but it's pretty close on a couple. The test itself looks bad, with almost all the essential elements on the low side. I think this would warrant a ten round trial of chelation following the AC protocol. Remember that doctors are not always looking out for your best interests, contrary to poplular belief. It is under " Hair Tests " and the title is " A.T. Results 7-20-2010 " . Poor little guy has some serious behavior issues including uncontrollable fits, aggression, constipation, and picky eating. He also sometimes starts his day at 1am. He is also self-injurous during his fits and has some bumps and bruises on the side of his head:( He's eight years old and can communicate his needs, but cannot control himself when he has fits; which can be frequent and sudden. Mom is exhausted and since his toxicity levels are in the normal range, chelating wasn't recommended by the DAN!. Mom has also tried to be gluten free, but because he doesn't eat enough as it is, she really struggled with it. I'm hoping you can provide some expertise and perhaps point something out. Please help. I've included the tests she has had done and, other than obvious yeast, am kindly asking to help dig a little deeper and perhaps find something that is being overlooked. She is currently seeing a DAN! doctor and is using the following supplements: -MB-12 shots (25mg) every 3 days -Zinc 2x a day -Vit.C Caps 2x a day -Calcium/Mag 1 tsp. 2x a day -CLO 3/4tsp 1x a day -Melatonin to sleep Thank you all for your help. Mom of 2 boys currently chelating with MUCH help from this group
Guest guest
TJ: Thanks so much for your response. I can't figure it out either. He has the same symptoms as my heavy metal poisoned children but without the test results to prove the necessity of the chelating (for mom to actually do it). He does have fits, constant constipation, mood swings, and limited speech. I was hoping to get some other ideas from the group about potential issues such as thyroid, mytochondrial dysfunction, etc. and did not get any response. The doctors keep sending mom around to different specialists without a straightforward answer. Poor little guy eats very little if anything, screams in pain from the constipation, and is so hyper. Any suggestions, please. Also, if metals are not abnormal, does anyone else has suggestions as to why almost all essential elements are low?!? Thanks for all your help, > > Didn't see where this was answered, but of course I could have missed it. Guest guest
Like I said below. Chelation would be a good thing to try. A hair test is just a way to convince you to try chelation. It is not a requirement. - Read in the files section for suggested supplements to give during chelation. - Start him on those supps fo a week or so to make sure he tolerates them. - Then start chelation. You could start with ALA only, very ceap and effective. - Give it every three hours, day and night, for three days. ( Most start Friday afternoon and end monday morning ) - Take a four day break. - Repeat nine more times. This is the ten round trial I way mentioning below. I would give a high probability of positive results before the ten rounds are up. If you are getting positive results, this will motivate you to continue. Continue until he is recovered. The word here on the list is approximately 300 rounds. Guest guest
TJ. Great advice. Thank you. What if my son has gut issues prior?? Should I start anyway?? I can use ALA only?? (there are no known gut issues on labs..) just the occasional distended belly after eating-- and it's not all the time. His belly is distended about 3x's a week (give or take). he has regular BM's. and I'm debating about going to see Dr.Krigsman for his opinion regarding my son's gastrointestinal issues, as well. Thoughts?? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone On Jul 30, 2010, at 4:15 PM, TJ Werth <tj_werth@...> wrote: > Like I said below. Chelation would be a good thing to try. Guest guest
You will never solve gut issues until you chelate for a while. All you can do is give digestive enzymes and have a yeast protocol in place. We took our youngest boy to a GI doctor for his constipation and he was on miralax for a couple of months to get things moving. Lots of people here on the list say it's bad stuff, especially if your child has a leaky gut. Guest guest
I have to say, this is the most concise explanation I have seen yet. Simple and not quite so daunting. Thanks so much! (I'm sure there are others, but this was helpful to me) Martha > > > > Didn't see where this was answered, but of course I could have missed it.
