Guest guest
Andy, I read your reply and was wondering what you thought in regards to my son having asthma attacks after IV. if he also then started having hives after eating broccoli and hives from taking Bactrim, are we going to be able to continue to chelate? I just read that ALA is very sulfury. My son has come so far, I want to be able to get these metals out, so he can heal. Could you tell me if you think by doing your protocol, he won't have the asthma issues? The last time he had one after IV EDTA was very scary. Leaving him to accumulate more on top of what is still in there is even scarier. What do we do? Thanks, Haven
Guest guest
Thanks Pam. I know we won't do IV again, but is it possible that we would get the same asthmatic reaction doing Andy's protocol? If my son has a sulfur allergy, can we do this? Haven
Guest guest
I think if you just start low, 1/8mg per pound of body weight, you should be fine. IV chelation is so severe and the doses so high, I don't think there is a comparison at all. Make sure you give lots of antioxidants. Guest guest
Thanks to all of you. Andy, I agree, if it is a true allergy, then why no reaction to any sulfur containing foods other than broccoli? He tolerates eggs quite well --no noticeable anything, and I haven't noticed any hives with any other foods--just with broccoli and the Bactrim. Also, then why we he have the same asthmatic reaction to CA-EDTA IV ? Does this contain sulfur, or is the reaction just because this is a dangerous form of chelation? I also so that the body needs a certain amount of sulfur to detox. am I right Andy? As for sulfites, I have worked very hard to keep sulfites out of his diet. He is gfr/cf/sf and we give him no carbonated drinks, no dyes, no nitrites, no sulfites --unless I am missing a source. I just feel like I am missing something. , I think on last testing the B12 was fine but the molybdenum was high, and I was wondering what this could mean? I will recheck his B12. We took him off the injections because once he gained weight finally, he was gaining too much and the shots made him very voraciously hungry all the time. They also made him very hyper, so we discontinued them. Thanks. I know I have a lot of reading and studying to do! Haven
Guest guest
I don't know what all the IV contained. They told me it was just whatever they said it was and I see them chelating a lot of kids this way, so I cautiously went forward, but as soon as the second reaction happened we stopped. I thought this was just due to the combination of EDTA and DMPS but then it happened with just CA EDTA, so I would never chance it again. The Dr. then said we could continue but give my son oral steroids first. I said " Hell no, " as the last time my son was given oral steroids he had a psychotic episode. Then this doctor says, " Well, we could just do nothing. " That is when it ticked me off. The previously, I went in and he wanted me to agree to put him on Prozac just because he is stimming a lot in his office (he hates waiting for hours to see the doc), and of course I said " No! " Then I found out something else about him, and it is very dishonest, and I just don't know what to do about it. I mean, I know what I have to do and need to do about it, but it is not going to be pleasant. I know we need another doc who understands all this stuff, but who? We only buy organic corn. could this still contain sulfites? He does get some organic maple syrup once in a while. Are these the things I am missing?
