Guest guest
Great! I was a little worried, since Mickie is making progress now, and I didn't want to take a break. Guest guest
Please keep us posted on how it goes. We're still on round 17 and we're planning on phasing out DMPS at around round 50. Guest guest
I believe it should be OK at this point. I think Andy says around 2 months on DMSA before you can start the ALA and after that the body burden should be sufficiently low to allow DMSA+ALA or even ALA chelation only. We did ALA only from the start and did not experience any noticeable problems but I figured that since my child did a lot of sports, the sweating would help lower the body burden of mercury, allowing us to bypass the DMSA. Hope that helps. > > I am out of DMSA and was wondering if it would be ok to chelate with just ALA while the DMSA arrives? > > Zurama > Mickie 13yrs > Round #40 > 25mg DMSA 25mg ALA >
Guest guest
Body burden is only an issue if you have had recent exposure, like amalgam filling removal or vaccinations. Otherwise, Andy states you can start out on ALA. For most young children, this is the case. Guest guest
His exposure was up to the year 2000. In 2002 when I first chelated, I started out using both DMSA and ALA. I have already ordered DMSA, but It didn't arrive in time so it's good to know Ala can be used to keep the momentum.
