It's perhaps not the ideal solution but i recently bought an organic mattress

topper for our bed....think that was about £200 from 'welovesleep.com'.......its

the best we could afford....

Lifekind is a good brand, although expensive.

Hello,

I want to buy an organic mattress for my son. Can anyone recommend a quality

brand?

Thank You in advance

We got our son's from White Lotus about a year ago and have been very pleased

with it. They have several options, we ended up going with the chemical-free,

100% organic cotton mattress (FYI, for those, you do need to get a dr's

prescription). Here's their website with all what they carry:

we bought a natural latex mattress for our bed--we actually have an organic

futon underneath it and latex 4-6 inch top on it. When we move, we're gonna get

the latex base layer too and replace the futon. As long as you don't have latex

allergy, it is surprisingly fabulous. We were v nervous, having never seen/slept

on one. But it's wonderfully comfortable--we got the " medium " firmness. The hard

ones are too hard. Our son loves that mattress. Forget where we got it but we

did quite a bit of research. It was around 300 dollars for the topper/top layer,

qn size, so not super amounts of dough. Usually you buy two 4-6 inch latex

mattresses and sandwich them on top of each other.

A friend told me Lifekind has a really good sale in Jan. if you can wait that

long. We are moving towards organic mattresses too. My daughter has an organic

toddler mattress that we replaced last year. She just turned five and will be in

her toddler bed until her feet touch the end! We are replacing my son's next

year.

Yes, it's their annual " white sale " .  Everything goes on sale.  Organic

bedding/sheets, mattress pads and mattresses.  It saves a ton of money...  I

think it might have been a full 25% savings, you could call them and verify

though.

They have great quality products.
