Guest guest
could chia be sprouted? tastes well? Re: In the end Does maybe cnnbs sp. (hemp) seeds can be used as substitute for soy without all those side effects? BTW does someone (on some place of the world where it is not forbidden) have sprouted cnnbs for food? opteto better than hemp seeds and not illegal....we have chia. this is not the same kind used for chia pet. this is FOOD grade, not planting grade. it is an ancient survival food used by the aztecs. It also helps regulate blood sugar and has been very beneficial to diabetics. also has a better ratio of omega 3 to omega 6 than flax seed. It is loaded with EFA's. Chia is also considered a complete protein. You can find out much more at menu4life.com . --------------------------------- FareChase - Search multiple travel sites in one click. Guest guest
It can be sprouted but not in the conventional manner. You will need a porous surface...like the chia pet. The chia pets are get for starting your seeds...jsut dont use the agricultural seed...use the one approved for human consumption. Sprouts are great for munching...but the chia seed makes an excellent drink. take 1 teaspoon of seed to 8 oz of water. It is best if you soak the seed for about 30 min. the seed cracks and releases a gelatinous material. it has absolutely no taste. Add a little honey and lime and you have a great energy drink. And when the chia seed float in your drink they look like diamonds. Otavio - Delmar <otavio@...> wrote: could chia be sprouted? tastes well? Re: In the end Does maybe cnnbs sp. Guest guest
Hi Maggie this porous surface could be sand? I've asked for a friend of mine to buy chia seeds; I'll drink it with water as you said, but I do want too to try to sprout it... WEll, I'll tell the group the results :-) With best regards, oteto Re: In the end Does maybe cnnbs sp. (hemp) seeds can be used as substitute for soy without all those side effects? Guest guest
no, not sand. It would need to be unglazed clay. This time of year, all of the stores are selling the chia pets and those are really neat for growing your chia seed. I have found several of the older " pets " at yard sales. That is the best for growing it. did you go to www.menu4life.com? Otavio - Delmar <otavio@...> wrote: Hi Maggie this porous surface could be sand? Guest guest
Hi Dana, Do you know where I could buy hemp seeds so I could make my own hemp milk? Are these seeds produced in the USA or any other country? I was thinking if they would grow in tropical countries. Thanks, -richard- ________________________________ From: danasview <danasview@...> Sent: Thursday, October 21, 2010 9:46:54 PM Subject: [ ] Re: good summer, bad school, HELP! > We took a break from all supplements this summer. This may be your problem. Try removing them all again. If he ASKED for something, then I would try keeping that. But remove everything else. Guest guest
Okay you HAVE to see this video. Ziggy Marley is trying to get marjuana legalized and he talks about the nutritional value in hemp that is being over looked. I just thought it was funny that I watched this video, then read this email. _http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/39802296#39802296_ (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/39802296#39802296) Kerrie In a message dated 10/22/2010 8:06:09 P.M. Guest guest
I suppose they were nuts that tasted like nuts? .. . what little writing there was on the bag, of, Shelled Hemp Seeds? (Hemp Hearts, Rocky Mountain Grain Products - 403-329-1380, Alberta, Canada) and I suppose the nut is *limited* in the amount of carbohydrate to it? in the nut part? Maybe you can call these people about how to make or find hemp milk. Listening on these boards it might sound easy but I'm sure some of these folks go to a *lot of trouble* to do what they think is best for their kids, (individual kids) where I figure there is only so much worth trying, where *value* would be concerned, that value doesn't find its own way.. .
