Guest guest
I'm wondering if your hubby wasn't also vaccinated a gazillion times. My DH also exmilitary. They'd line em up and shoot em up with multiple vax with a vax gun at least once a year. The amalgams may be one thing, but the vax are almost the worst prob in the military these days. You can opt out of the vax now, but I imagine a lot of them don't. It's just not the mindset. Then there's the whole Gulf War Syndrome, which sounds to me like vax related. good luck, Fiona > > Hi all, > I have a 4 yr old son with ASD and we've been treating him biomedically for 2 yrs. After reading on these lists and researching, I realized that my husband health might need to be treated as well. Ever since I have known him he has suffered from intense stomach pains, which would wake him up sometimes 2-3 times a week. He's the kind of person who doesn't complain and having been in the army tends to tough it out. He also scratches nonstop and has these rashes/scabs on his arms, his inner thighs and calfs - until they bleed. He has amalgams and we have started to get them removed (xrays showed them leaking into his gums which has caused an infection). But we only got a quarter done b/c the work needed to be done is extensive AND expensive - all of our resources have been used for our ASD son's treatment. He also has the worst case of toenail fungus I've ever seen - I'm talking an inch thick and black. We tried to treat it topically for months but it didn't work. Dr. says meds to treat it are harsh on the liver. Also, he is very foggy lately and has developed alot of anger, which I always thought stemmed from our very stressful lifestyle of therapies and treatments and autism in general - but I think it may be more than that b/c he has always been the most mellow/relaxed person I know. he also says that his hands sometimes shake, and he's dropped glasses because of it a few times. > So my question is, how can I start treating him? I know we can't chelate yet b/c we haven't removed all the amalgams yet, but can I treat for yeast and bacteria with natural antifungals and probiotics in the meanwhile? > > Thanks so much! > Shiri >
Guest guest
Same advise as Andy gave this person, plus, no more thimerosal containing vaccines, lots of probiotics and extra support supplements for his individual problems, start chelation after amalgam removal. Use Andy's " Amalgam Illness " book as a guide: /message/289122 J > > Hi all, > I have a 4 yr old son with ASD and we've been treating him biomedically for 2 yrs. Guest guest
Hi Shiri, I hope the amalgams are being removed according to proper protocol. (The fact that he was in the service means he probably got extra vaccines, some probably untested, any way to find out which ones he got?) Any chance he has celiac and dermatitis herpetiformis (It's incredibly itchy)? Some things you may want to go ahead and start with: DDI hair elements test with counting rules applied GFCF diet enzymes (HNI) epsom salt baths or foot soaks probiotics (preferably non-dairy) some supplements S S Treating my husband with amalgams? Guest guest
My husband was actually in the Israeli military and it was about 15 year ago. They didn't have that many vaccines back then, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was exposed to something environmentally detrimental while he was there. Strangely, he did say that he " changed " when he moved to the US for a year at the age of 10 (his Dad was a professor who did a sabbatical here) and he had to receive all the Vaccines given to immigrants. Both his parents report him being a very talkative and outgoing child, and after moving to the US he became withdrawn and aloof. They thought it was just the move to a different country, but he continued to be socially awkward when they moved back to Israel - and is still that way today. Both he and his father have autistic-like traits - not understanding social ques, less eye contact than the average person etc. > > > > Hi all, > > I have a 4 yr old son with ASD and we've been treating him biomedically for 2 yrs. Guest guest
Thanks for the suggestions . I am going to research the things you mentioned. His amalgams are being removed safely by a great dentist. My husband was actually supposed to start medication for IBS that his family Dr. prescribed for his stomach pains, but the dentist convinced him to wait till he removed the amalgams safely b/c he was sure that what was causing his health issues. As DH was in the Israeli army he can't find out what vaccines they gave him - they are notoriously secretive about everything and would probably laugh at him if he did ask! I'm going to get started on treating him too. Other than my ASD son, my other 2 yr old son has developed ADHD symptoms and drooling and diarrhea so we're treating him too. My house is like a pharmacy! Shiri > > Hi Shiri, > I hope the amalgams are being removed according to proper protocol. Guest guest
Yes, do, until amalgams out. Can do biotin for yeast, probiotics and various supplements with no issues I would try soaking his feet in GSE and warm water nightly if can. See how that works. I would also try a gluten free/dairy free diet and take out all perfumes in your soaps to help with rashes. Try a food diary to see if skin improves. Stomach pains, rash, food allergies. If you have good medical insurance, some food allergy testing there would be good. Best wishes! Tammy [ ] Treating my husband with amalgams?
