Guest guest
At what age did he loose words? 2 years old? Has he been diagnosed by a developmental Ped already? how old is he now? Rochelle > > Our 3yr ds had lost all words beginning of last year but started gaining words 7 months ago. The most improvement happened after HBOT though we did chelation and Methyl B12 as well. He makes simple sentences but we do not know where to go from here. He's had 80hrs HBOT but we are afraid of oxygen toxicity so we've decided to stop. He's speaking gibberish sometimes, mixing it with words. He can do this for an extended time all by himself. He still does not understand most questions. All he can answer are simple What is this? Who is that? kind of questions. >
Guest guest
Consider Y-Age Glutathione patches. They worked wonders for improving my son's speech. He went from echolalia to slow processing to appropriate processing. A friend used them on her non-verbal son and he went from non-verbal to babbling. I stopped using the patches for awhile, and when I started them up again he started asking why all the time, like a 3 year old (he's 5) and asking other questions like " what's daddy doing? where are we going? Come play wiht me, etc. " ________________________________ From: hezekiah2110 <murayac@...> Sent: Wed, June 9, 2010 8:39:01 AM Subject: [ ] Speech and comprehension issues  Our 3yr ds had lost all words beginning of last year but started gaining words 7 months ago. Guest guest
Have you done the B6+magnesium, cod liver oil, or any other DAN! recommendations? My son had severe echolalia that developed in his second year(ish). DX'd PDD/autism at 4 1/2yrs and came out of echolalia after six months of SLT and OT with above supps...keeps progressing with more sophisticated therapies and target supps. Still has speech apraxia but a wonderful, intelligent, expressive, and loving child. Senses still meshing after so long being out of sync. Vision therapy crucial to all senses finally finding stasis...much more to do and learn. Wish you the best, it's a long journey getting your child back...worth every sleepless night spent trouble shooting. Guest guest
Hi Theodora & Kim, Thanks for the suggestions. We have done a mix of DAN suppl and AC chelation. Our ds has been on B6/Magnesium, coconut oil, probiotics, digestive enzymes, Vit C and multi-vitamin for more than a year. Once in while we give him GSE & OLE. Its been a long journey with weekend night chelation. > > > > Our 3yr ds had lost all words beginning of last year but started gaining words 7 months ago.
