Guest guest
I'm restarting chelation with my very sensitive 9 year old this month and I would like to 'revisit' some of the brands/types of supps needed. Keeping in mind that all kids are so different, what are some of the favorite brands of supplements used throughout the AC protocol... Just hoping for smooth sailing in usual rough seas. Vit C - Ester? Citrate? ascorbate? Vit E - Unique E? Zinc - Picolinate? Mag - Citrate or Picolinate? B complex - these Vits don't go over well with my child and usually send him into a hyperactive overdrive/stimfest. What ones are the most needed if any in the B's? I think I'll just keep it to these supps for the start up and not push my luck too much right now with the rest of Andy's suggestions. Thanks, Jen
Guest guest
So many different brands; everyone has their favorites. I try to keep the fillers to a minimum. I buy from Kirkman, Solgar, Nutricology, Thorne, KAL, Pure encapsulations, Solaray, Source Naturals, Carlson, Nordic Naturals, Nutribiotic, Nature's Plus, North American Herb & Spice, Enzymedica, and Lee Silsby. Those are all in my cupboard right now. Most of those I would trust for all products. Specifically, I use the following, *always*: North American Herb and Spice Wild Oil of Oregano Nordic Naturals fish oil Thorne Research Methyl-Guard Nutricology grapefruit seed extract I just like those certain formulations from those companies. Otherwise, I tend to buy a mix from the others. Maybe you will find people who are pickier than I am about sticking with the same brands. Good luck with chelation. Working with the B vitamins is tough. Try buying a B complex with only B6 in the P5P form. Sometimes it just takes some chelation to tolerate the Bs. I like zinc picolinate a lot. Magnesium citrate. I would try to get some essential fatty acids in there, too. Nordic Naturals is a great brand for fish oil and I love Barlean's for flax.
