Guest guest
Hi Nice to hear from you again. I remember when you used to post because you're the closest to me. I'm down in Ilion. Welcome Luke & my re-intro Hey fellow soapers! First, a big welcome to little Luke! Congrats nne! I just checked out his photo and boy, is he a cutey and I LOVE the name! I haven't posted in ages. We've been back in NY since last May but I just haven't had a chance to do much of anything except work on the house & keep the kids out of trouble! I'm hoping some of you will remember me. I'm . I'm originally from Rome and just returned after 15 years of military travel. Dh will retire in about 4 years. He's in Arizona til May but then will be stationed at Ft. Drum. We have 3 kids, is 14, Audrey is 7 & little Henry is almost 2. I almost made it to the gathering last year but it didn't work out. I'm hoping to come this year. If anyone has details, please let me know. I've been venturing into some other art mediums, mostly sewing and a little painting. I'm teaching myself to paint (just acrylics) and it's kinda fun...I feel like a kid again, playing in paint. And Audrey is always right next to me because she just loves art. I have been reading the emails and trying to keep up with everyones' goings-on. It seems to be a little slow on the list lately...maybe because we're actually getting some decent weather (minus our little snowstorm the other night). We have definitely been taking advantage of the warmer weather (although it's all relative, isn't it? how can 39 be considered balmy???) Anyway, just thought I'd do yet another quick re-intro (I tend to lurk a lot & then so much time goes by and for that, I apologize) Take care all. , Rome

Guest guest
I'm hoping to but it will all depend on my husband's vacation time, weddings coming up (not sure of dates yet) etc. It's being held out in Rochester near Letchworth Park I believe. Are you considering going? RE: D Hi : I remember you too. Thanks for responding. Are you going to the gathering? Do you have any info about it? Guest guest
Your doing right by yourself d, you need a dr that wont stress you out..my God..tx is bad enough already w/o having to deal with that...Proud of You Girl! My hand doctors name is Green and he is Black..lol and he is so much fun and a good guy..I love him..he is the one who found the fracture in my hand, not the other doctors onthis accident case.. got home from work and took a nap from 5 to 9..neck feels better now..still have pain throughout my body..just gonna take some time.. take care, Love patty D's Surfin the web Hello one and all. Just taking a break on my search/surfin the web. I am looking for local (within 50 miles) that treats hep. The Dr I seen a couple of weeks ago was gonna refer me to my husbands Dr. At first I said OK. But by the next day I decided NOPE!! I stressed and worried over it til I was sick Saturday. If the thought of seeing that Dr stressed me out that bad I would really hate to see what I would be like after a few visits. So I'm waiting to get a new referral. I gave them info on a Dr that really got my attention. I have gathered info on a few others in case they cant get me in with my first choice. LOL I just realized my first choice.... ha ha I refer to my dragon as the GREEN DRAGON, the Dr I chose first, his last name is ..... GREEN.. HAHAHA How are you all? I hope all is well for each and every one of you. love d __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Patty Thanks I needed that pat on the back. Since I got so sick in 2003 I just never trust my decisions. That is something I don't understand. I know I am more than capable of making the right choices for me and my health, I'm just so scared to put my foot down and say OK..... I WANT IT LIKE THIS. But with this DR I am not relaxed. The Dr seen my husband all thru tx and ALWAYS had to look at the chart to know Mitch's first OR last name. But he never failed to ask about my dogs, by name. That was just one of several quirks of his that was just too much for me to get past. The fact that the man looks like Hitler did not help matters.. Patty not to be negative but my mom had whiplash in her neck and in her back. She was seeing a chiropractor 2 times a day, and phy therapist 6 days a week, and it was months before she was allowed to lift more than a 16 oz drink. It will take time and patience as well as hard work to get the kinks(ha ha) worked out. Love ya Pooh. Guest guest
Patty hey how are you? No I have never had an MRI. Drs are good at putting someone off with I SEE NOTHING WRONG. The clinic had x rays but said since the dr said nothing was wrong there was no need to have a MRI. So they would not allow it. I dont have the $$ to pay for one and they would not pay for it so I was S.O.L. But that is all changing. love and hugs dPat McBride <pmcbride1@...> wrote: D, have you ever had an mri on your back done?...xrays do not show the real problems..luv ya Pattypooh Re: Sugar results are in if you figure it out would you please share with the rest of us. Guest guest
doing ok d, thanks.. we finally got some rain last night and it has cooled things off a bit..the only reason I was able to get the mri was because the other insurance co paid for it..surgery is the only thing that would be an option for me and I wont have it...too risky for nerve damage...what pisses me off the most is I cant really take much pain relievers w/o stressing my liver..getting off my feet for long periods of time helps, but my hands are still messed up & cant have surgery yet on them either, gotta work, ya know..waaaaa...just have another rollaid, I say..lol Love ya, Patty Re: Sugar results are in if you figure it out would you please share with the rest of us. Guest guest
Congratulations to you both! We know what it's like going in for surgery (we're basically asleep) - then when it's someone important to us that we love to the ends of the earth and beyond, that's in the OR and we're the ones sitting in the waiting room, hour by hour, oy what a feeling when the surgery is done and the doctor comes out and gives a good report! I'm glad to hear the good news! G [ ] D Hi Guys. I just wanted to let everyone know that my mom is out of surgery and in the recovery room. Her surgery was scheduled for 1:15 but she didn't go in to the O.R until 5:00. The surgery lasted about two and a half hours. They ended up fusing C4-C7 instead of C5-C7. The doctor said she did great!
Guest guest
Great news that Val is out of the OR and doing well. I am sorry to learn that they have had to add an extra level of fusion to her neck, but hopefully that will not alter the doctors expectation of a fairly quick recovery! Please let Val know we are all thinking of her. Take Care, Cam

Guest guest
; Honey, you sure don't need to apologize. I totally understand. Rob's health issues over the years have been a struggle WITH insurance for us, too. Two years ago, we had $15,000 in out of pocket costs after insurance paid. Yes, I thank God we had insurance coverage, or we would have been bankrupt, but a $15,000 hit is hard to take. And in your situation, where you have 2 children needing meds and therapies, its just heartbreaking. In this country, the richest in the world, and you are saddled with all the co-pays and deductible costs and having to make some extremely tough choices about each of your kid's health. It just should not be this way. and Rob 19 JAS Re: OT- Medi-Cal (aka medicaid) ventjra- > list@group s.com> god, i hear you...i'm sorry. i can wreck > myself with the number > of > people that i know who are going > through the same thing. i went > throughit myself. i don't know > HOW americans can be deemed > permanentlydisabled by the > gov't.....then have to wait 24 months > for any health> > coverage. ~and that's AFTER we get the determination.> > something's got to change.> during which....we can't be > " employed " or we're not " disabled " .> i don't know what to say, > issadora.> just keep on pushing on....> ~osh> > > > [Non-text > portions of this message have been removed]> > [Non-text > portions of this message have been removed][Non-text portions of > this message have been removed] > > > > > > _________________________________________________________________ > Windows Live™ Hotmail®:…more than just e-mail. > http://windowslive.com/explore?ocid=TXT_TAGLM_WL_t2_hm_justgotbetter_explore_012\ 009 > >
