Guest guest
from the NACD newsletter- Contact the woman below, I'm just passing this along. Liora NOTICE TO FAMILIES: THERAPY DOG AVAILABLE! " DUMA " (means 'to roar' in Zulu) is a pure bred Standard Poodle. He is 3 years old and has been surrounded by 3 children (ages now 3, 8 & 11 yrs) for the past 2.5 years. He has the most amazing disposition with children and adults alike and is not in the least concerned with childrens'rough-housing. He is great with other animals. Duma joined our family to come along side our son, recovering from a brain injury. We wanted Duma to be a companion/therapy dog. He is very bright and is a wonderful companion; however, our son does not want to interact with him. Duma has so much potential to be a great therapy dog, but in our case, our son is not interested in bonding with him. We would like to find Duma--a home where a special needs child would really benefit from having such a dog. It was never my intention to purchase such a smart dog to just be a family dog. He has too much potential. He is 100% house trained and follows simple commands such as sit, lie down, roll etc. He does great on a treadmill, as he does need excercise. His coat does not shed at all.....great for an indoor dog! We hate to let him go, but he really needs to " work " and be the therapy dog that comes so naturally to Standard Poodles....I hate to see his potential wasted as just a family dog! Please email natanijones{at}phoenixmail.com if you are interested in our Standard Poodle. We're located in Phoenix, Arizona. Standard Poodles are expensive dogs, but we would like to give our dog to a family who could invest the time to train him, especially with a special needs child who can interact and bond with him. All you would need to do is organize travel arrangements. Thank you, Natani blessings, Liora Pearlman , ModeratorMom " If people let government decide what foods they eat, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny.
