OT: middle ear fluid

Get a bag of balloons. have your child (or you?...whoever has the fluid) blow on

balloons during the day, as it opens the eustachian tubes. Two weeks of

decongestants and antihistamines work well also.

You need to find the source of the allergen. I guess I am assuming you are CF?

The eustachian tubes go from the middle ear to the throat area. One secretes

fluid when the eustachian tubes get blocked off in the throat area. (The other

side of the middle ear is usually a closed area, the eardrum.) Large tonsils,

adenoids, and lymohs are generally the culprit. They can be enlarged from

allergens, bacteria, or viruses among other things.

P.S. It IS safe to hold your nose and blow gently to pop the ears.

Thanks so much for explanation, very interesting about baloons, make sence, will

try that, its myself having problems, and most likely its virus, I dont have

allergies, I do eat some gluten, not too much, can that be part of the problem?

For my son, this was one of his symptoms of mitochondrial dysfunction. Here is

I would say chew gum, but most of it has casein in it.
