Guest guest
Does she have any mercury amalgam dental fillings? When was her most recent vaccine? How's her diet? Is she a picky eater? S S Re: My daughter Posted by: " leighann_mc " leighann_mc@... leighann_mc Wed Apr 14, 2010 8:23 am (PDT) I havent done a hair test. She takes lamictal for seizures and respidal for her behavior. Guest guest
Could someone tell me what bioten is and what its used for? I want whatever it takes to heal my little girl. Thank you!
Guest guest
Biotin is suggested to help control yeast. The recommended dosage (on list) is 5-10mg per meal which adds up to 15-30mg per day. If constipation occurs then it is recommended to add magnesium. We started biotin for yeast but after further reading, it seems it should be in our supplement routine anyway as we restrict most of the foods that Biotin is naturally found in. Biotin is a " good' bacteria in the digestive tract; when there is an imbalance, it is one of the causes of the yeasty behavior. We have an imbalance due to GI issues (and as mentioned diet because of GI issues (full circle, huh)) so we supplement at meal time which greatly reduces the yeast behavior. It took about 7 days before I saw a change. (I stopped Biotin use several times because I did not see a change in 1 - 2 days as my daughter is a quick responder.) Guest guest
When you say yeasty behavior, what exactly is that? I mean is it when they act out more than normal or just acting out at all? What all supps should I have her on? She only takes b-complex. But I want to know more. Thank you. > > Biotin is suggested to help control yeast. Guest guest
You may want to observe for a while to get familar with all the issues and related supplements. I will take a stab at getting you familiar with the fundemental approach and theory of this group. The theory accepted by this group is that autism is caused by mercury poisening by vaccines. Due to the mercury in the kids it causes yeast overgrowth(google candidia yeast) , viral issues(strep etc..) , and bad bacteria issues(example: Clostridia). The fundemental approach is to chealte the mercury using AC(andrew cutler) protocal which uses supplements(I think ala/dmsa) to remove the mercury. Until you remove the cause(mercury) then you will continue to have yeast, virus's, and bad bacteria.  Lots of supplements are needed to support the removal of the mercury. So, you can watch the group for a while and pick up things or you can buy andy cutlers books to understand the protocol and you will need to check out the files section of the group to read up. Most recommend getting a hair analysis and using Andy Cutlers books to help you understand your particular childs issues. Hope this helps. Guest guest
One more thing: Andy Culter protocol is very specific about the amounts of supplements based on weight of child...very important to get a full understanding of the protocol before starting. Guest guest
Hi, I don't see antifungals in your list. Does she get any? best, r ________________________________ From: leighann_mc <leighann_mc@...> Sent: Mon, July 19, 2010 7:17:49 PM Subject: [ ] My daughter  Can someone please help. We have been on the b-complex, probiotics, vit.c, dmg and cod liver oil now for several months. She is on the gf/cf/sf diet also but in the past 3 weeks her behavior has gotten so bad that I am scared to take her anywhere without someone with me to help me. She takes lamictal for seizures and risperdal for behavior and the dr wanted to try to start weening her off the risp.because of the side effects that she is having from it. She started at 1 1/2 ml 2xs day and we got her down to .75ml 2xs day. I just had to take it back up to 1ml 2xs day cause of the violent behavior. What can I do to help her and keep me from pulling my hair out. I NEED something. PLEASE!!! Thank you.

Guest guest
You did not say how long she has been gf/cf/sf. In the beginning there can be major withdrawal symptoms. When I started, it was rough for three weeks, and I cried every day. Be sure your child is not getting any hidden gluten, casein, or soy protein. Sometimes it can be that you changed soaps or even detergent. We use body products that are gf/cf/sf too. Be sure to keep a treatment diary (journal). I know some supplements did not agree with my son, as well. Next, it very well could be yeast and/or yeast die off. Since you didn't state that your child is on an anti-fungal, then it could very well be an over growth of yeast. I sense the desperation and urgency in your voice. I know it because I've been there --too afraid to go anywhere due to behavior issues. Hang in there and be diligent and it can get better. My son goes everywhere now, but I have to be diligent about what is going in his body and on his body. Last summer he had a dietary infraction and within about forty-five minutes he was in melt-down mode with his hands around my throat. Infractions turn him into " Mr. Hyde. " Check out your child's fungal status and then move forward. It could also be the " drugs " like Risperadil that your daughter is on. Prescription drugs can affect our children differently and more intensely than other kids. Our kids are very chemically sensitive. Orals steroids in my son cause psychosis. We now avoid those like the plague. Haven

All of those supplements would have caused problems for my son, for various reasons. The B complex and C increased yeast, he did not tolerate probiotics, he needed TMG and did not tolerate DMG, and he did not tolerate CLO until I gave him mito cocktail.
