Guest guest
Hi, Just wanted to bounce a couple thing I have learned about clostridia in hopes of gathering more information to support or counter the information. I have read that clostrdia and Bifidobacterium strain(Probiotics) compete for the same food lactose. Currently I was just using cultrelle(L.GG) to treat the clostridia but I have since added a bifidombacterium strains and I do notice a bit of a difference in my son when I use both versus just using one. Because clostridia feed on lactose, I was planning on adding a Lactose enzyme which in theory should destroy the food source and help clear out some of the problem. Another thing I had read was that clostridia can maintain viable counts in the presence of Phytic acid. My son is a peanutbutter-aholic which could mean high numbers of phytic acid which I have read inhibits the absorption of zinc. My adhd'r needs all the zinc he can get. So, I was thinking of adding the enzyme phytase to break down the phtic acid and make the zinc more readily available. Any thoughts? http://www.horizonpress.com/ciim/v/v5/04.pdf http://journals.cambridge.org/action/displayFulltext?type=1 & fid=879132 & jid=BJN & v\ olumeId=80 & issueId=02 & aid=879124 PWC
