Guest guest
Dear Andy, My son had several hypoglicemia attacks recently. I read that part of your book that says that this can be caused by adrenal insufficiency and poor sugar metabolism. I started to give him Chromium and it helped for some time. During that time we made salvia test for cortisol. Here are the results: 7am 24,5 should be 12-22 11am 4,5 should be 5-9 3pm 1,7 should be 3-5 8pm 0,8 should be 1-3 But lately, Chromium doesn't help anymore. I had to increase the dose from 200 to 400mcg because his hands became cold again. Few days ago he had another attack when he became weak and only sweet food (raisins) brought his energy back to him. But, I wouldn't like to have him dependant on sweet stuff. I would like to ask your opinion, with Cortisol data like this, is it appropriate to introduce Adrenal Cortex extract (my son is 10y.o.)? I am asking because if these numbers are still close to the " range " then I would not like to overstimulate his adrenals. I am not sure what can happen in such a case. With cortisol numbers like this should we expect more adrenal stress while starting chelation? And is it better to support them with AD extract before we start, not waiting till symptoms of hypoglycemia will interfere with chalation? Thanks in advance for your reply,
