Guest guest
Zumara, Would it be possible to get a biomed speaker to come to a meeting of the parents? For some reason, people take it as more legitimate if someone is a speaker (could even be you) and it's a more formal speech. Other than that, all you can do is try. Oh, and prove your point by recovering your child. Success is the best advertisement. I have had parents quit on the diet or refuse to do it because they make it sound so complex. If I can get them past that to where we can work out some menu ideas so they see that it's really just 'normal' food, some will opt in and try it. Some never will give up their fast food lifestyle. The ones that opt in eventually have to try pizza because it's just too much to give up. Then I get the phone call from a frantic parent asking how to undo that damage.... The good thing is that for most of them, if they have embraced the diet, when they eat that donut (or whatever) the child reacts enough to convince them it is working. The bad news is that it is traumatic for everyone involved. Sad. Good luck. May God guide your tongue.
