Guest guest
I gave my 30lb NT daughter 2 drops (10,000 IU) of Micellized Vitamin A from New Beginnings yesterday b/c she has been sick for 2 weeks and hasn't slept through the night for the last 5 nights b/c of her cough. This morning she woke up with a rash all over her body. Her cough seems better though and she slept through the night last night. The rash doesn't itch or bother her at all but it's frightening to look at-it's all over; red blotchy dots and marks- some are slightly raised but mostly are flush with the skin. No fever but just this lingering cough which her Pedi suspects is some RSV/bronchitis and he's not too concerned. She was on Amoxicillin for 7 days for an ear infection which her last dose was this morning. So my question is this...is this the virus working it's way out of her? Should I be concerned? Can I give her a bath or should she stay out of warm water until it goes away? The Pedi recommended giving her Benedryl to see if that helped but it didn't. He said to bring her in if it gets worse. Just worried b/c she's off at her father's for the night and won't be with me for the next 24 hrs.
Guest guest
Sounds like an allergic reaction to the amoxcillin. This is what happened to me on the last day of taking it. It took that long to get into my system and bother me. I was covered from head to toe with a horrible rash. It was even in my ears, scalp, and down my throat. This happened when I was a teen and I remember it as if it was yesterday. It will eventually go away. I think it took me 2-3 days for mine to ease up. I took the benedryl even though that stuff never did seem to help. Yes you can give her a warm bath- not too warm and allow her skin to breathe. Let her wear a tee shirt. I am sorry this is happening. Oh they say to just watch the breathing. Make sure she isn't having any problems breathing. I hope she feels better soon!! Guest guest
I thought Measles too because she was never vaccinated for that but when I asked the Pedi about it he didn't think so because he said she would be pretty miserable if she had the Measles and since she was behaving normally, he wasn't concerned. > > > In a message dated 30/01/2010 22:52:44 GMT Standard Time, > tharvey40@... writes: > > So my question is this...is this the virus working it's way out of her? > > > > >>Does it look like a measles rash? > > Mandi in UK > > >
Guest guest
Mandi i am interested in this aswell. If it looked like a measles rash, could that mean it has been there dormant from the MMR vaccine (not thinking about any particular child here)and the vitamin A is shifting it.Does the rash mean that the virus is leaving the system or is it always there causing problems . > > > In a message dated 30/01/2010 22:52:44 GMT Standard Time, > tharvey40@... writes: > > So my question is this...is this the virus working it's way out of her? > > > > >>Does it look like a measles rash? > > Mandi in UK > > >

At my house, for an illness that included a cough, the cough was caused by yeast overgrowth. >>This morning she woke up with a rash all over her body. My son's vitamin A toxicity rash was raised, red, rough [like fine sandpaper], and very itchy. >>Her cough seems better though and she slept through the night last night.
