to do high dose vit A or not to do...

Hi... I am wondering if anyone could give me advice on high dose vit a. My son,

I feel, just fluctuates between yeast and virus. We have been doing 10,000 IU of

vit A a day for a few weeks and it has just made him more hyper and added a new

tic behavior such as jerking his head down and an increase in eye stims which

previously stopped with just 2 tspns of clo. 10,000 is what is required for vit

K protocal, which I plan on following thru on to deal with his calcium issues.

Yeast is well managed with nystatin and fermented coconut water with tibicos

grains. however, we just go back into viral mode with green unformed bile poop.

I think it is the measles virus of which we have shown very high titers for.

Despite the hyperactivity/stims he has shown great improvement with speech.

With hyperactivity such as running back and forth and jumping on the couch,

would high dose vit a be a bad idea? or would that be the answer to stomping it

out...easier on the liver? or am I venturing into some bad, dangerous territory

here with the 10000 IU increase already causing some issues.

I would greatly appreciate some input...

Worked very well here. Here is info, and my son's experience

I would add some vitamin D.

Hyper and certain other behaviors can be signs of vitamin A toxicity, so watch

for that.

For proper absorption of calcium, my son required magnesium, vitamin D, vitamin

K, and lysine.

Hyper, running back and forth, and jumping/climbing were yeast behaviors here.

Dana,

I ought to buy your book. How much K, lysine, selenium per lb would you start to

support  D absorption?  I understand it's K2 they need. I haven't heard of

tyrosine, will read about it. Iodine is good,

Did you run supporting tests? Many of our kids thyroid tests are in the low

normal range, even though they have low am body temps. for hypo-issues.

What bad symptoms did you see?

My son's thyroid issues prevented his body from converting carotenes.

They actually appeared to poison his brain until I corrected that

problem. I used selenium, tyrosine, and iodine.

K 100mcg

selenium 100mcg

Lysine was higher, because it was also anti-viral. I started with 250mg and

worked up to a rather high dose for my son and me, and not quite so high for my

other kids.

My #4 has had a thyroid test from a regular ped. It was normal, but the thyroid

support supps still result in improvement for her, so the test was not accurate.
