Guest guest
Hi , Welcome tot he list. You're in the right place. If you still have the amalgams or had them while pregnant/breastfeeding mercury would have passed to your child even if you hadn't eaten the cilantro/chlorella. Don't beat yourself up. If the child was vaccinated, that's another source despite the media saying inaccurately that mercury has been removed from vaccines. S S cilantro, amalgam fillings, and breastfeeding Posted by: " rebeccaundd " rcuthomas@... rebeccaundd Mon Apr 26, 2010 12:34 am (PDT) Hi, I'm new to this list. Is it possible for a mom with a long history of (unwitting) mercury ingestion (restaurant sushi, canned tuna, a dozen amalgam fillings, etc.) to eat cilantro years later and mercury-poison her child through breastfeeding? Are there other common foods besides cilantro that loosen mercury in the body? Would it be possible for this same mom taking chlorella growth factor in pregnancy to possibly (unwittingly) mercury-poison her fetus? Thank you,
Guest guest
And consider the alternative of using a chemicalized formula when you can provide your baby with the milk specifically created for it's unique needs. Guest guest
Hi , Thank you for your reply. I just came across this: " with methylmercury: the placenta removes it from the mother's bloodstream and concentrates the chemical in the fetus " on the Wikipedia page for Minimata disease (mercury poisoning). I've ordered Andy Cutler's two books. Thanks again,

I just came across this: " with methylmercury: the placenta removes it from the mother's bloodstream and concentrates the chemical in the fetus " on the Wikipedia page for Minimata disease (mercury poisoning). Wikipedia is not an accurate or credible source of information and I hope people take it with a very large grain of salt when using it. I only use it for noncontroversial, well established things where I know enough basics to tell when they're off the deep end (which is pretty frequently). >I've ordered Andy Cutler's two books. > > Thanks again, > > Andy http://www.noamalgam.com/index.html Amalgam Illness: Diagnosis and Treatment http://www.noamalgam.com/hairtestbook.html Hair Test Interpretation: Finding Hidden Toxicities http://www.noamalgam.com/nourishinghope.html Nourishing Hope for Autism: Nutrition Intervention for Healing Our Children http://www.noamalgam.com/biologicaltreatments.html Biological Treatments for Autism and PDD
Guest guest
Hi Andy, Thank you for the reminder about Wikipedia's unreliability as an information source. I searched PubMed for " methylmercury placenta fetus " and found the article " Transport of Methylmercury and Inorganic Mercury to the Fetus and Breast-Fed Infant " : http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1281284/ The abstract starts with " It is well established that methylmercury (MeHg) and mercury vapor pass the placenta... Infant blood MeHg was highly associated with maternal blood MeHg at delivery, although more than twice as high " and ends with " From the findings of the present study in which the exposure to both MeHg and I-Hg [inorganic mercury] was low, we conclude that the exposure to both forms of mercury is higher before birth than during the breast-feeding period, and that MeHg seems to contribute more than I-Hg to infant exposure postnatally via breast milk. " It was a small study of 20 Swedish women. Thank you as well for your two books. I am reading Amalgam Illness now.
