Guest guest
> I need advice concerning PANDAS. We have been GFCF/biomedical for almost five years. My son is now 7 years old and I believe he now has PANDAS. I have noticed all the usual suspects as far as behavior goes and I was wondering why he was regressing. He had a ZYTO scan last week and my practitioner said he was showing strep. It just dawned on me this morning that all I have been seeing is probably PANDAS. Please tell me what you have done to manage it or get rid of it. I eliminated strep bacteria with OLE. Dana
Guest guest
Dana, How much did you give? Did you test first or just go by behaviors? Also, I think I read somewhere there might be some reason for not giving OLE to some children?? Is this correct?? For some of my kids, behaviors. For #4, she had a positive strep throat culture, and 3 rounds of Zithromax did not eliminate the problem, so the fourth time the strep came back, I gave OLE and it eliminated the strep. > Also, I think I read somewhere there might be some reason for not giving OLE > to some children?? Is this correct?? I believe it is high phenol, so you may need to give it with No-Fenol enzyme. Dana

Guest guest
We are in the middle of PANDAS (or, I am beginning to think PITAND (viral) or PANDAX (LYME), as opposed to 'just' strep. We get rid of the strep and another layer of problem persists which is why this disease alone will drive the caretaker nuts. See my foundation and blogposts about PANDAS www.thefarrellfoundation.org www.chicagonow.com/fightingautism HTH someone, Kersten (For us, bicillin and IVIG are liquid gold but this was after we tried naturals and abx for three years with no positive results) > > Dana, > > How much did you give? > > > I started with 250mg and worked up. > > > >>Did you test first or just go by behaviors? > > > For some of my kids, behaviors. Guest guest
Kersten, This was very helpful. I think I am going to take this issue to a DAN! doc and get him tested.
