Guest guest
Our first " longer " chelation weekend (Friday through Monday) ended 10 days ago, and we got some wonderful gains: better eye contact, less anxiety, and an imaginary friend! (Ds is 10 years old, PDD-NOS, 140 lbs) The yeast appeared to be under control while I was giving DMSA and ALA (along with biotin 15,000 mcg 3 x day plus 5,000 mcg additional with each chelation dose; probiotics at bedtime; No-Fenol; and 1 GSE per day). However, despite continuing the biotin and No-Fenol after the chelation doses ended, he's been passing lots of gas and the small skin bumps (that I now know for him are yeast-related if not yeast-caused) have increased. Is this die-off? Or, a yeast flare? I know I'm giving him good stuff to fight yeast but I may not be giving it in the best combinations and/or doses. I'd love some help with this. Any advice? Guest guest
That's plenty of biotin, but I suggest you continue to give the GSE post-round. Consider adding some other yeast-fighters like caprylic acid, Candida Clear, coconut oil... Are you giving zinc? What does of probiotics are you giving? You need a very potent one. Digestive enzymes are helpful as well; we use Trienza or Thorne's Dipan. Guest guest
GSE seems to help, but he does react to the phenols. I give 1 No-Fenol (digestive enzyme) with 1 GSE capsule -- should I give more No-Fenols? I've bought some coconut oil gels (from NOW brand, discussed recently on the list). I've given them once, and need to get them into ds' regular supplement schedule. (Coconut oil applied topically was a break-through for us. Big help! But I think he's absorbing as much as he can through his skin and can use more delivered orally.) He gets 60 mg (mcg?) zinc per day -- actually, 90, because his calcium-magnesium supp contains some zinc. Trienza didn't work as well for us as Houston's Peptizyde, so we use the latter. For pro-biotics, we use Klaire's Ther Biotic Detox capsules, 4 daily at bedtime. Should I give more at a different time of day, or divide the four up? Thank you!
