Guest guest
Hello Group! I am trying to gather information on how to take care of the liver.  We made the following tests:  AST 41, norm less than 51 ALT 29, norm less than 39 Gamma GT 14, norm less than17  Are there any other tests that can show liver's condition?  Our DAN! recomended to use L-Ornithine-L-Aspartat http://www.pureformulas.com/lornithinelaspartate-35-oz-100-grams-by-allergy-rese\ arch-group.html?gdftrk=gdfV21979_a_7c354_a_7c1034_a_7cALL1299 to remove ammonia from the liver, but we coudn't buy it so far, because the company sells it within USA only.  Other supplements that I started to support the liver:  1. PhosChol 1 capsule a day. It is soy deprived, but still very good for my son.  2. Artishok Extract - it makes him stimming a lot. After first dose his stool became very bright orange color and watery consistence. Next stool was bright yellow.  I wonder if this could be due to better detox, and would like to know what others think about it? After the third dose, stool became light color, as usually.  3. AKA, whenever I see symptoms of die off, I give it with the chraocal. Should I give it on regular basis? Because it is an Acid, wouldn't it hurt the stomach?  4.I am planning to start Taurine and Milk Thistle.  Am I missing anything? Any thought is highly appreciated. Thanks in advance,  With best regards,  Asem

I don't have experience with them though. I have heard of people using L-Citrulline for ammonia http://www.iherb.com/Now-Foods-L-Ornithine-500-mg-120-Capsules/735?at=0 http://www.iherb.com/Twinlab-CellMins-Potassium-Magnesium-180-Capsules/2378?at=0 > Other supplements that I started to support the liver: > 1. We give milk thistle 2 times a day at least, more during rounds. I use taurine powder in juice first thing in the morning. We add some glycine powder during rounds as it aggravated yeast otherwise. > Am I missing anything? You might want to give some ox bile or a lipase enzyme to help with assimilation of the good lipids. Jo
Guest guest
Hi Jo, Thanks for your recomendations. I just would like to clarify: is AKA removing ammonia from the liver? When I couldn't buy the LOrnithinLAspartat, then I thought that I am still having AKA doing the same job. Am I wrong, and these two things that you recomend do not overlap with AKA? With the MThistle, do you take breaks from time to time? I read that when taken constantly, it may supress the liver enzymes eventually. Any thoughts on that?  With best regards, Asem From: detoxhealing <detoxhealing@...> Subject: [ ] Re: Liver tests and support Date: Wednesday, August 11, 2010, 3:15 PM  > Our DAN! recomended to use L-Ornithine-L-Aspartate to remove ammonia from the liver, but we coudn't buy it so far, because the company sells it within USA only. *** Maybe you can try these two?
