Guest guest
I have noticed that every time I supplement calcium (I give calcium citrate) my child starts releasing lots of saliva. Our DAN told us that this is a sign of high histamine and the ONE test we did from Genova Diagnostics confirmed this. Other supplements do this as well but it is most noticeable with calcium. Her last blood test showed that she had calcium within range and magnesium slightly above range. I am not sure whether we should continue to supplement calcium or not? Our DAN says to continue supplementing, a nutritionist I know says not to. The Vitamin K protocol says not to when a child has excess extracellular calcium. I am giving vitamin, D,A and K to help absorption but the saliva and high histamine remain. Is it a good thing that she keeps releasing histamine from her tissues, doesn't this increase inflammation? Does she have too much calcium or not enough? I have also noticed that when I do supplement calcium and do not give an anti-histamine with it, this causes my daughter pain, so obviously it is causing some kind of inflammatory response. Does anyone have any advice on how what to do?
