Guest guest
How did you get the diagnosis carotenemia. They may be simply anemic. When my son was a toddler he was yellowish & his ped thought he eats too many carrots(idiot). From: richard tan <gmcaiec_rktwkt@...> Subject: [ ] Carotenemia Date: Tuesday, July 6, 2010, 1:59 AM  Hi , My 2 sons turn yellowish with not so much amount of green & yellow vegetables and fruits. My wife has this problem too. What could be the causes of carotenemia? How to I address this issue, as in, are there supplements which I could give to address this? How much of the supplement/supplements must I be giving? Thanks. -richard- ________________________________ From: Shepard Salzer <_Shepard@...> autism treatment Sent: Monday, May 17, 2010 7:04:28 PM Subject: [ ] Re: Detoxamin - anyone good results???? DMSA chelates both mercury (from body but not brain) and chelates lead. You'll eventually need ALA to get mercury out of the brain. S S Re: Detoxamin - anyone good results???? Then I guess it will take lead but for mercury will be another protocol, like DMSA? Thanks a lot for any input, so confused mom ;

I have a book that says that proper carotene conversion requires zinc, vitamin C, and thyroid hormone. For thyroid, I used selenium, iodine, and tyrosine. Once my son's levels were more normalized, he was able to eat carotene foods without problems [before this, they caused major brain poisoning symptoms]. Today the tyrosine is the only supplement still required. Dana

My son had this problem with all orange and green foods, and many red and yellow foods. Check the carotene content of all foods he commonly eats, see what you find.
