Guest guest
I was told I should start my son on DMPS. I am having a hard time getting a doctor to write me a script for it. Can someone plese tell me why DMPS would be a better choice then DMSA? Also, I was told my son has such severe malabsorption issues that it might not be a good time to start chelation. I just got his DDI test back this week and he his high in a number of metals. So I am weighing malabsorption vs. chelating. Please let me know if you can share any insight with me. Guest guest
Depends on what metals you are chelating for. We use DMPS for aresenic, but if lead was an issue we'd use DMSA. DMPS is better for some, DMSA for others. My son also had malabsorbtion and severe constipation issues. We did wait 6 months to get the bowels moving before chelating. The malabsorbtion is still a problem, but is better sinse chelating and doing the Low Oxalate diet. Karla > > I was told I should start my son on DMPS. Guest guest
Hi Karla, How do you know which metal is the current issue during chelation? Did you do hair test for that in the beginning? Guys, I would like to ask an advice, please. Our Dr odered us a test, but some part of the blood samples was dismissed. We are not going to have Homocystein information. I was suspecting sulfur intolerance in my child, and wanted to see his Cystein data. Is it something different from Homocystein? The test is called NutrEval from Genova Diagnostics. What else markers should I look at in order to see whether he is sulfur toxic? In case if he is, then am better to start with DMPS? Thanks in advance, > > > > I was told I should start my son on DMPS. I am having a hard time getting a doctor to write me a script for it. Guest guest
The better question is why would anyone put there child in the hands o the dangerous DAN! Protocol. Why not use the AC protocol, the safe effective one. > > > > I was told I should start my son on DMPS. I am having a hard time getting a doctor to write me a script for it. Guest guest
My DAN does AC protocol, so thats not an issue. Not many DANs do, but there are some. Guest guest
We did a hair test. He didnt meet the counting rules, but was very high in aresenic. Check the archives. There are some posts that discuss which chelators are good for the different metals. The sulphur issue is one that I still dont understand very well, so hopefully someone with a better understaning of it will respond. Karla > > > > > > I was told I should start my son on DMPS.
