Guest guest
: > Hello Sure, > What brand of CLO are you taking? > ***Hi debra, I am taking norweigen which i beleive is cherry flavor. It was sooooo naassttyyy tasting, it is my new dread of the day ( ha ha ) But as with everything witht he incedious condition i will adjust. Once i d it mentally and stop my little pity party, then i am ok. The expiration date is good. I remember when i started the omegas i thought they repeated on me also, but now i dont taste them. My hubby and i know that it is good for us so we will do it, but not on an empty or already upset stomach. thanks and hope you are doing well. I was thinking of you when a dear friend lost her mom last week suddenly. Take care and best in healing to us all! Thanks... Guest guest
Hello Sue, What brand of CLO are you taking? Did you check the expiration date to make sure it is good? Some brands are harder to take flavor wise than others. I find I do well with Carlson's. Carlson's is very mild with a lemon flavor, pretty easy to take. My son takes the Twinlab and I take Carlson's and we do not experience any nausea at all. If you are taking it on an empty stomach, maybe try taking it with a meal and see if that makes any difference? Hope this helps. :-) Debra NW susan <tauttodream@...> wrote: Hi all, Did anyone experience CLO as upsetting in your stomach? I took it for the first time today, and i had an upset stomach right away and it tasted bad... I gave it to my husband also after i took it. I didnt say anything to him about the taste or the way i felt, just to get his reaction. His face was so funny when he took it and he had an upset stomach also. Maybe the oil is heavy for me. But i'll build up slowly. I only took 1/2 tsp. Do i stop the omegas right away or continue with then unitl i build up? It says on the bottle... mood enhancer : ) cant wait to see the result of that. Also there is no die off with CLO right? I have read the files but these points i made dont seem to be in there. Thanks... Sue
Guest guest
Hi Sue, I take my CLO in the form of gel caps because I KNOW I could not get it down otherwise. It does repeat sometimes but I have never gotten an upset stomach as a result of taking it. Could it be rancid or do you just have an aversion to the fishy-ness of it? I don't believe CLO causes any die-off so perhaps it is bad or you need to try another brand. Also ensure your meal includes other good fats as well since they all work together. But some CLOs could taste bad and have flavourings that make them worse - I take Garden of Life lemon flavour and it's not offensive. ==>No one should ever stop having omega 3s. There is no die-off from CLO. Bee
Guest guest
CLO = Cod Liver Oil I should be using it, but found it too disgusting, even the so-called lemon flavor. I put in in my dogs food <snicker> so I don't waste it. I take capsules instead, as I can stomach those. Guest guest
Yes, Gracia, I have tried Carlson's. It is not only taste, but mouth feel. For the same reason I don't think I could do oil pulling. How long did it take you to receive it? I was thinking of ordering some and also some clove oil +++Hi Madonna. It cost about $10.80 US dollar per bottle, plus shipping, duty and taxes. I ordered 4 bottles CLO and 4 bottles of Natural Factors Clear Base Vitamin E. I had to pay duty and taxes upon delivery - I saved $15.00 Canadian total. The delivery was 2 days, which is excellent. Since you work, you may have to pick it up. I think it is better to buy a lot more at a time. Bee

Look again, since they do not contain the same amount of vitamin A for the doses recommended. Bee

Guest guest
> > Bee and group, good morning! > > Bee, When you calculated the price for the two methods to take the garden of life clo. Did you take into consideration the shipping costs? This might make a difference. I get my clo at iherb and they ship it for free. if i were to purchase the halibut liver oil I would have approximately a $10 shipping fee. I am not sure if it is worth it? > +++Hi . You could calculate it yourself, instead of relying on my calculations. However, here's my calculations without shipping, and of course if you purchase more bottles of CLO at a time the cost of each one is less: GOL CLO, 8 ounces = 16 tablespoons @ $10.68/bottle: 2 tablespoons per day = $10.68 divided by 8 = $1.34/per day 1 tablespoon per day = $10.68 divided by 16 = $0.67/per day Halibut Liver Oil, 90 softgels @ $4.99 + $10.00 shipping Total $14.99 divided by 90 = $0.17/per day 1 tbl. CLO + 1 capsule of Halibut liver oil: $0.67 + $0.17 = $0.84/per day Bee

CLO does not start to go rancid until after it is opened, and after opening they must be kept in the refrigerator as it states on the bottle. Otherwise I don't know how you can tell it is rancid. Here's an article on how to tell if olive oil is rancid, so you may be able to get some clues from it: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/recipes/fats3.php Bee
Guest guest
What do most of you think? My 11 yr. old son stopped frequent urination after stopping Twin Labs. He took 1 teaspoon. Twin Labs CLO. It's ratio: 4615 IU A to 462 D Carlson's has 850 IU's A to 400 D, but 10 IU's of E http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2008/12/23/important-cod-live\ r-oil-update.aspx He has yeast & bacteria we need to address though.
