We let holes closed, and tried again 4 years later. This time they used 14 karat gold and she is still getting infected. What else can be tried. Any suggestions? Guest guest
You may not be able to do piercing. The stainless steel posts have nickel in them and she will probably react to the nickel. The gold ones also have other metals (probably nickel) in them to harden them too. I am nt, but had to take mine out cause I was reacting to the " other " metals in both the stainless and gold. Sorry! I also found that when I removed the earrings......my gums stopped being irritated and sore all the time. The dentist told me it's cause of the heavy metals being absorbed and weakening my immune system. That was 20 years ago. nancy j a child is diagnosed with asd every 20 seconds From: wilma1866@... <wilma1866@...> Subject: [ ] Infected ears Date: Wednesday, July 21, 2010, 7:53 AM  My girl had her ear pierced. Guest guest
You have metal allergies then. You can " try " the plastic caps that go on the posts, but I recommend doing without earrings. We cannot do them either. > > My girl had her ear pierced. They used the plated gold earings and she got all infected. We let holes closed, and tried again 4 years later.
