Guest guest
Hello all, I've asked and got permission to post 1 off topic message about Picto Selector. I will follow up this post but not start a new topic about this subject. I apologize for mistakes in this message, English is not my native language. In September last year I saw my wife struggling with Word and a lot of images we downloaded from www.sclera.be The images were very nice, but the sheer amount of it made it very difficult to find the pictures we needed. (3700 on their website) Also the use of Word for creating a sheet with images was a painful task. As a software developer I wanted to help in this process and at first I started with a way to make the searching a lot easier, after that I created a way to replace Word. This resulted in Picto Selector, a freeware Windows application that is currently working with 5500 freely available pictures. The tool can also import other pictures from a drive. The tool and pictures are available in English, Dutch and French. A group in Brazil is working on a Portuguese version. Examples of other options like coloring pictures, creating text and photo etc are available on my website. I had over 900 downloads in the last 3 months, without using any marketing tools or spending money on advertising. It was most people recommending it to other people. The tool can be found at: http://www.PECSforAll.com I hope this will also be useful for other parents in their efforts to visualize daily tasks. With friendly greetings, Martijn van der Kooij Netherlands
