Guest guest
Yeast for us came out in this UNBELIEVABLE diaper rash. We struggled with it from birth until about 2 years of age. Started with redness after a BM --- within 1-2 days progressed to open sores. This happened every week or too. Just at the sores heal we would start all over. My pediatrician told me to put neosporin on it....Did not at all react to any creams - the best but not completely effective turned out to be Bourdeux (sp?)Butt Paste. Did not respond to any over the counter measures I could think of at the time (I was very new and naive at the time :-). We treated with Nystatin and Diflucan regiment (one month each) and continue the high doses of quality probiotics and very limited yeast proliferating food diet to this day. I wish I was more knowledgeable about this and insisted on antifungals sooner- no doctor ever offered it(we saw many for this bum rash issue). Our DAN gave us the Rx and when I told the regular MD's about the success they all shrugged shoulders and told me " Well of course THAT would fix it " :-( Our DAN Labs did not show or grow yeast either, we got the prescription based only on the symptoms we could see..I can't say our diet is SCD or Anti Yeast diet now but it's close. Have not seen any of the former problems since the RX treatments. Getting ready to start AC protocol and plan on using Kirkmans Yeast-Aid per our compounding pharmacist... http://www.kirkmanlabs.com/ViewProductDetails@Product_ID@112@Product_Group_ID@1.\ aspx I guess I can't tell you our yeast id totally gone as I don't have any lab proof it ever existed much less that it is gone... Our stools have firmes up from the chronic diagrrea we had since birth and we are making progress I guess this is how I know it's under controll. Hope this helps.
