Guest guest
thanks judi, compared to you i shouldn't even complain. my son is gone again for the night. he is 19 and to be honest i'm glad he is staying over. i don't have to worry about him coming home the farm roads in the middle of the night. we all know how they are at 19!!!! but see. my opportunity to go out for a nice dinner (while i politely yak in my plastic bag!!) or to the clubs and go dancing or even a game of bowling!! most of my friends have " others " so i won't bother them on the weekends. i do have a friend again. his son is in for the weekend, so i guess i'm glad i'm sick now if i have to be. being stuck too (not that i'd go anywhere but k-mart even if i had my car) but still. well enough of my whining, i hope everyone is having a pain free day. kathy in il
Guest guest
Wow, Kathy, you sure have been busy! I know how you feel, you force yourself to do things in spite of how you feel. I had to shovel snow today, one-handed, because Ron can't do it right now. I'll be so glad when he has his knee surgery and is recovered and can give me some help! Try to conserve your energy for the impportant things you need to do. If you know you have to do something, rest up before and after. I'm a fine one to talk, but that's what they keep telling me! I get folic acid in my vitamin. The doctor suggested switching to a liquid vitamin as they are better absorbed. Since I only take Bextra, don't know how that is affected, but I've had more energy today, especially since I stopped taking the Doxepin. Hang in there, Judi
Guest guest
Hi Kathy, I'm sorry you are having the nausea and fatigue with the methotrexate. Maybe you should talk to your rheumy about adding folic acid. Also the nausea might wear off once you're on it a couple more months. I used to have nausea with it, but after about three months it mysteriously cleared up and I haven't had it since. Feel better, my friend! Love and hugs, Carol [ ] disappointed well my son is off at our community college today for fafsa (financial aid) seminar. i was going to go with him, but i have been so nauseous today. i do not take folic acid. i am wondering if some of the things i eat around shot times that contain folic acid is enough to do this? i'm getting tired of being sick on the weekends. it's much better than it used to be, but 8pm bedtimes make me feel way too old!!! (plus dan was out last night, so i could have done anything i want. but instead i am boiling my bones in the hottest bath i can stand at 7:15 (hoping for a second wind) but tucked myself in at 8pm. i had to force myself out of bed this morning at 7:15 because my back hurt so much. i did walk a lot yesterday. my car in the shop, i walked to a neighbors house and picked up my friends paychecks, walked my dod to the groomer's twice (they were not there the first time!!) went with my son to help my friend with ms and neck surgery. then off to do my errands too. i've also updated my resume and have it out to a few local places for part time work. any suggestions?? kathy in il
Guest guest
when i first starting taking mtx i asked my rheumi about folic acid. she told me not to worry and can be added later if need be. i really need to get back to keeping a diary of my symptoms. it just gets so old sometimes. kathy in il
Guest guest
Sorry that you are still suffering, Kathy. Why aren't you taking folic acid? I hope Dan learned something useful at the seminar. Too bad that you couldn't go with him. It is very frustrating to want to and have to do things and not be able to because you are feeling so bad. I hope your health can make a turn for the better soon. It's been such a long time since you felt decent. Guest guest
thanks carol and happy valentines day everyone!! the nausea is much better then it was the first month of taking it. now i am just bothered when i eat, or if i am running in the car. it's like i dread to take it again tonight, but i should be fine since it is the last dose in the bottle. they tell me i should have enough, but something about the last dose. i have a hard time getting it out of the bottle. i tried to get a refill when i picked up the syringes, but they would not release it saying i had enough. whatever. we are expecting a storm here today although i'll bet judi will get it worse than me. but the biggest storm of the season. of coarse my son will be about 15 miles away at his girlfriends house. so i will be nervous about that. i know how stress can add to the situation. when i was waiting for the tow truck on my car ( the 2nd of the 3rd time it had to go back this week) i freaked my friend out i guess. but it does make you sick. well now i have my car back again. after they replaced the water pump (they had to remove most of the engine) they said that they got my power steering hose too close to the engine and it blistered and blew!!! so then they had to figure out how to get the hose changed without taking it all apart again. i wish i could just get rid of it!!! my arms were so sore from driving the car with no steering!! on the plus side, i did get a call for a job i applied for. they were checking my wants and needs and said she was planning on setting up interviews next week. mtx i have mostly felt better. just when i do my shot mostly. but my daily fevers have pretty much stopped. (every now and again i will and i still have some slow stiff painful dats. but much better. i'll end on that positive note!!! kathy in il

Guest guest
Hi Krista, I have talked directly to . I then emailed her twice to today. I'm emailing Dr. Huang from her home. All they said is that they wanted pictures. I guess I will have to wait and see what happens. When I first talked to on the phone, before seeing the pic's, she said to correct it would just be procedure done in the office but it could not be done for at least six months. So I will wait and see what my breasts do until then. I hear ya on the one bigger than the other. I have the same exact thing, I figured it was due to having fat transers and things need to settle. That may be the case with you to my dear. I'm thinking that we are so early post-op, that we have to wait a few months to see what our breats do. Dr. Huang did mention that she noticed I still have my stiches. So I'm wondering if that when they desolve it might relax the skin, I really don't know....I'm guessing. Have your stiches desolved yet? I'm thinking that if she was just tell us " give it time " would at least make us feel that she addressed the issue. That's what I'm thinking we will need to do....time is on our side. Guest guest
Hi Rogene, I sure hope your right. I will keep in contact with the office as time goes on, I have to send post op pictures anyway since I live so far away. Hopefully they will one day see, what I see. I'm just giving to God that if it's meant to be fixed....it will be fixed. (had to give him my frustation today too). Just needed to vent to you ladies this evening......you all would understand. Guest guest
Cheri, Please give her one more chance. In her defense, when I first read your posts about this, I also thought you were referring to the aerolas. (So many people use the terms nipple and aerola interchangeably). I know she's a breast surgeon, and should know the difference between a nipple and aerola, but if she's used to patients saying nipple when they mean aerola, she may not have realized that you literally meant your nipples were the issue. Please let her know that when you wrote nipple, you meant nipple, and that you are not referring to the aerola. She should let you know if there is a reason why the nipple issue should not be addressed. I wonder by her respnse if she meant that since the aerolas look good, she doesn't want to possibly compromise them by operating once again on the nipples. Disappointed Hi Ladies,I sent the pictures of my nipples to Dr.Huang and her PA and both of them are not addressing the issue. It is as plain as day to me (and my mom) that the nipple is not right. One is verical and the other is horizontal. All they tell me is that everything looks great. Most of my swelling is gone and that's how I noticed the difference. All I know is both nipples to not match anymore and it looks strange. They tell me that the areola looks great...however that is not the issue. I've am trying to massage and manipulate the nipple to go the other way but I see no difference each day. I have to say.....I'm very disapponted in her. Especially not coming right out and even discussing the nipple in the return emails I receive. Cherie Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Try it now. Guest guest
Hi Cherie- No, I don't have any stiches anymore. The inner stitches dissolved and Dr.Huang cut off the outer stiches. It was easy for her to do, so it would probably be pretty easy for you to cut them off yourself. I know that we still have a lot of healing to do, so we shouldn't get discouraged my the size or shape of our breasts now, but it's still hard not to. It doesn't seem to me that mine are going to miraculously become the same size. Oh well though! My husband is the only one who sees them, so I don't care if they are perfect. So sorry to hear that your cold is back....I wonder if it is from die off and not a cold though...hmmmmm. Man, I can't wait to be 100% healed and have my life back. I'm now thinking I have fibro and CFS or just fibro with a lot of fatigue! I think I pretty much fall into that category perfectly. Anyway, I haven't been posting much, but I hope to post more after the Holiday. I had an accident on Monday night...I slipped and fell on some ice while getting in my car. One second I was standing up, the next second I was UNDERNEATH my car. So yesterday I stayed home from work and rested, and today I REALLY feel like I've been run over by a truck. Sigh.... My sister is coming into town next week, but hopefully after that I'll get some more time to post. Love, Krista > > > > Aw Cherie- I'm really sorry to hear that. Guest guest
Oh, Krista! I'm so sorry aboout your fall! When it rains, it pours...at least that's how it seems to be for me the last several months! Did you really hurt yourself or have you recovered from the fall? I see Mercola tomorrow and I'm definitely mentioning the fatigue...mine has been increasing. I'll let you know what he suggests. My brother is coming in on the 20th so I need some energy! Hang in there, girl! Love, PH > > > > > > > > Hi Ladies, > > > > > > > > I sent the pictures of my nipples to Dr.Huang and her PA > > and both > > > > of them are not addressing the issue. Guest guest
Hello my sweet PH! I've been meaning to email you, but I've really been taking it easy. Hubby stayed home with me yesterday (we got another snow storm on Monday night, so he worked from hom,) and he was in the office for most of the day, so I wasn't able to get on the computer all day. So, I just laid on the couch, watched TV, read, and took a 2 hour nap. My fatigue isn't good right now either, I'm starting to think I have that chronic fatigue, I'm going to talk to my naturopath on Monday about it. Let me know what Dr. Mercola says. I'm okay with the fall. I hit my knees on the car as I was sliding underneath it, and I had major knee surgery last year, so it's always a worry that I'll mess it up again and have to have another surgery (which would be my worst nightmare.) My knee swelled up, so I had to ice it, but it's better today (thank God!) Now, I'm just really sore all over....my arms, legs, back, etc. I'm taking ibuprofen so that I can come in and work. I scheduled a 60 minute massage on Friday (I can't wait!) My sister is coming in on the 20th too, and I have soooo much to do before then! Let's hope I can find the energy to get it all done! Guest guest
Hi Krista, I'm soooo sorry to hear about your fall.....aw, you poor thing! We are having one thing after another aren't we? I feel like I was hit by a truck today too. I'm glad you got to stay home and rest. I think are bodies are realizing our implants are out and our bodies are going haywire. I'm sorry to hear of fibro and CFS. The good news is that you see the naturopath on Monday and I'm sure she can help you. Did Dr. Huang take all of your stitches completely out? told me this morning that I am to just trim them to the skin. She said the inside stitches will disolve but the outside will not. She did not tell me to take them out. I'm confused. I hope you feel better today and enjoy your time with your sister. Hugs and prayers to you! Guest guest
Hi Krista, Yeah, I figured you might not be feeling too well since I hadn't heard from you. I want you better! I want us all better!!!! Glad you were able to take some time off and just vege. Dr. Kolb diagnosed me w/ fibro and told me to take Corvalen M for the rest of my life. It worked great for muscle/joint pain, to the point I stopped using it after 2 months. It might help you. I'm considering going back on it because it's supposed to increase energy as well. I really think had I listened to Dr. K from the getgo instead of going to docs here who told me not to do anything that Kolb recommends, I might be feeling better. She is a researcher and when I look up the supplements & detox therapies she recommends, it's all evidence-based. What'd you have knee surgery for? You be careful, we don't need anymore surgeries, missy! Well, I better get moving as fast as my poor body is able. My mom's coming up to take care of the kids before we head to Chicago and my house is an absolute disaster. This is soooo unlike me, but I think she's just going to have to see it as a pigpen because there's no way I can get even half of it accomplished....oh well, there are more important things in life I'm now seeing. Take care. Guest guest
Hi Cherie- No, Dr. Huang didn't like pull them out or tug at them or anything, she just took some scissors and cut the stiches down all the way to the skin. The little bit of stich that was left just kind of fell off after that, and the rest on the inside dissolved. What Emaily told you is absolutely right. I hope I feel better too, and you as well!
