Guest guest
Jim, while I think sometimes goes overboard with her claims for diet and nutrition I do believe she is sincere and trying to be helpful. I don't believe that any specific change in diet will always help with RA and I don't believe that all RA patients will respond favorably to any change in diet and nutrition. However, I do believe that many people can be benefited from some change in diet and nutrition if they have the perseverance to find what works for them. I think is trying to do good for us and we should recognize her intent and forgive her overeagerness in presenting her message. God bless. Harold ----- Original Message ----- From: Jim Buster Rheumatoid Arthritis Sent: Thursday, October 27, 2005 8:26 AM Subject: [Norton AntiSpam] Beware: Lima Plus ...peddled on this site, and alot more... Lets take a look here. When Dorey's post was addressed to , claims that when she attacked her arthritis from a Nutritional Angle, that afterwords she was able to get to an active life again without meds.... Hmmm....listen here... no additional cost to modify eating habits... Now, when addresses Ken, she said 3 yrs ago that she took all kinds of medications, gold injections with celebrex, etc. and as her pain escalated she got Cortisone injections. Then, she admits to being on Methotrexate for 18 months. ( I know one person I talked to in my RA doctors waiting room, who was able to reverse her Arthritis completely with Methotrexate, and another person I talked to who is controlling his by 1 tablet (2.5mg) per week. MTX Methotrexate is a low dose pill form-chemotherapy-used by many physicians to treat many conditions, including cancer. Even Allergist will use this drug to bring a patients shallow breathing back to normal. (researchable web-links on MTX below) "You are monitored, or blood work is done every 3 months because of possible complications to kidneys, liver, etc., from methotrexate". These complications can show up early, but more likely show up after 2 years of taking Methotrexate. That is why most doctors will tapper down your dose when you get towards the "2" year anniversary. I know because I have tappered my dose down to 5 (2.5mg) tab's per week, from 8 tab's a few months back. It is working for me, along with an elimination diet of sugar, salt, white flour, rice, and noodles over the last 3 years. This was my cleanse, and it didn't cost me anything additional, except the willpower to change my habits, and exercise 15 to 20 minutes each morning..) ( By the way, Cortisone shots can activate the Diabetic Gene if anyone has that in their families, and if not caught, can turn into a Diabetic-Arthritis severity, told to me be a diabetic educator in a hospital class) If you ask me, "may have" reversed/controlled her symptoms with the Methotrexate, along with changed nutritional eating habits. If her symptoms come back to the degree they were in past, then she most likely will go back on the Methotrexate. That is my educated guess with , based on my own experience. Maybe I should start peddling something and use my changes in life to make it sound believable. Nah, I don't think so, some of us still care about others in more ways then making money off them, because they are sick...... Signing off....and God bless all who have to deal with any disease. Guest guest
Harold and others, Regardless, on our home page there is a Note or rule that addresses what is doing. On another list, she has made up character names to e-mail responses on her behalf, as she may be doing here as well, all for the purpose of addressing her product as something we should try. For all I know, it is colored water that hasn't been tested. I refer you to our groups home page that has the Note to members as stated below. It is a rule, and it should be followed by all members, is no exeption..... Jim Note to All Members: The posting of messages with the intent to promote products and or services is not allowed.
