Guest guest
Most people start after school on Friday and end before school on Monday every two weeks. ________________________________ From: Curran <lizcurran70@...> Sent: Tue, December 14, 2010 9:13:03 PM Subject: [ ] How do you do chelation with kids in school? Hi, I am sort of in a panic here. Wanting to do the AC chelation protocol and I just put it together that with doing it on friday after school till monday am, I dont have the 72 hours that they say should be the minimum of time. We would be about 8 hours short. Just had a huge argument with my husband about keeping him out of school. Ugggh. The sad part is he was home with me all last year. He just turned 6 and has started kindergarten and I am back to work. Im so mad that I wasnt aware of this then. A year ago I really didnt even think that metals were the cause.I dont know what to do. I told my husband I would run away with him if I had to. Heehee. Any thoughts ideas? Does anyone else have this problem? What do you do. Thanks so much. Guest guest
We chelate every weekend. Most I think do 3 on 4 off, but there are some that do 3 on 11 off. Either way works. Guest guest
We chelate from 3:30pm on Friday to 8:30am on Monday, 65 hours. I have read that 65 hours is acceptable. We do longer rounds over the summer and breaks in school. Strozier Sent from my iPhone On Dec 14, 2010, at 9:13 PM, " Curran " <lizcurran70@...> wrote: > Hi, > I am sort of in a panic here. Guest guest
Liz, My heart goes out to you. I know I have been lucky as my husband has gotten on board with whatever I decided to do. I think all couples fall into roles, even when they don't have a special needs child. But in our house, I became the planner and my husband the initiator among other things. I did the reading and researching and going to the doctors and seminars. Then when I devised the plan, my husband would initiate it. We did a lot of things early on that helped our son such as diet and adding metabolic supports. His neutrophil count was too low to chelate. Then finally, we wound up doing IV --which I strongly regret. It caused respiratory reactions in our son. So we are getting a late start on doing AC Protocol. We pulled our son our of school at the beginning of this year to do home schooling again. So we will start on Friday mornings and finish on Sunday evening, but if we had kept him in public, then we would have done after school on Friday through Monday morning. Are you sure your school is doing an " appropriate " job and meeting your child's unique needs? Be sure. You don't want his academic years wasted. The suggestion was made to start at 3:30 on Friday and go until Monday Morning. This sounds like a plan by which you would not have to keep him out of school. The tough part will be waking up every three hours during the night. Will your husband take turns with you? (The time line might be different than what I said. I quoted for ALA only AC protocol. It might be different if you are using DMPS or DMSA). Hopefully your husband will help with the nighttime dosing. Hang in there. Guest guest
Friday afternoon to Monday morning is perfect. That's what most everybody does. And yes, every week. Guest guest
Every week is perfect. Some kids are very sensitive and need more of a break. Most kids can handle every week. Guest guest
I almost always fall short of the 72 hours. Even so, my son has improved greatly. I chelate almost every weekend. Do not keep him out of school to get those last 8 hours. It is not worth it. Sometimes I tried to schedule myself to help out in the classroom on Friday afternoon and/or Monday morning to get that extra dose or two in... but now I don't make that much of an effort. I try to chelate most long weekends and both ends of the holidays. Good luck to you. Try not to argue so much with your husband. I have lived that life and it wears you out!
