Guest guest
Also, I made a list of foods I know I can have (it's a short list, for sure!), but again, I'm worried about not getting enough protein. The amaranth is a complete protein, but how much I can have is another question. Here's the list for the next 4 days: Acorn Squash Butternut Squash Zucchini Yellow Squash Pumpkin Seeds Sunflower Seeds Brown Rice Amaranth Avocado (this is questionable, but I'm keeping it in for now) Kiwi Canatloupe Watermelon Cod Liver Oil (could this be a problem??) Salt Butter Tamara
Guest guest
I don't know about you, but I discovered a closet allergy to chicken and turkey (and eggs)--a homeopath suggested it's cos poultry is how they grow vaccines--some people are so allergic to eggs that it extends to other fowl. I'd say try an actual TED and see if there aren't some meats you can eat. I do esp well with grassfed meats (lamb, bison, grassfed beef). I don't know if you're an O blood type, but if you are, beef and lamb are usually very compatible. Also probs with meat are an enzyme issue oftentimes--I'd see a homeopath who will work with your protocol to identify your particular causes and address them. It'll save you a lot of wasted money on food you can't eat or have to throw out after reacting to it--so the cost of the homeopath will prob break even pretty quickly. best wishes, Fiona > > Hello! I am getting to the point where I need to just cut out everything that I think might be problematic to see what to do for myself. I'm already doing the no sulfur / no thiols diet, but within that, I got a screaming migraine (worse than I have ever had... I had them in my 20's but not since). And what I ate different was a large amount of ground turkey. That's the only difference. > > Sooooo, because I've had so many probs with meat in the past several months, I've hardly touched the stuff until a week and a half ago and when I did add it back in, I only added dark meat chicken (results were okay). Then yesterday the large amount of ground turkey. Today, I had the turkey again and voila! Migraine from Hell. > > The only things I KNOW I can eat for sure without causing problems are on the low sulfur / thiols list EXCEPT for meats. > > What to do? Guest guest
I have a couple questions: Are you eating more phenols/salicylates because of your diet? That could be a possible problem as far as headaches. What are you doing for Candida? When I started chelating myself, I had horrible problems with all foods. I had to take a break and get my yeast protocol in force. It is possible that you just need more for candida: higher dosage probiotics, caprylic acid, oil of oregano, cultured veggies maybe?, biotin, Candex, Candidaise...to name a few. Take some charcoal after eating antifungals and take probiotics after meals and before bed. Have you tried taking Betaine HCl with your meats? Sometimes you don't have enough stomach acid and either the HCl or baking soda can help you digest the meat. I don't know why you have this problem specifically with turkey. I do know that the turkey we have here is probably full of antibiotics and I am not very comfortable buying it compared to other meats that are available that are local or organic. Maybe someone else has some insight on the particular reaction to turkey. > > Hello!
