Guest guest
My sons lab report for a fungus culture with stain says there is was no fungus observed. However, his stools still have thread like strings. Is this common with autism? Thank you. We just started the recovery journey!
Guest guest
Hi, A simple test for yeast would be accumulating a gob of saliva in your mouth and spitting into a glass of clean water (usually in the morning?) and if strings grow from that quickly (and if the glob stays floating in suspension?) lets say, within half an hour, that's been considered a do-it-yourself measure for yeast. No yeast would not present as such. I believe that's called the " spit test. " A test for freedom against BSers (liars?) would be in our being supported for representing/saying as much.. . Guest guest
If you do the " spit " test, you need to use only distilled water, spit first thing in the morning upon rising and then watch it every 15 minutes. Strings growing down from the spit, foggy water with globs floating in it, or a spit wad that sinks to the bottom: all these are signs of yeast. ps. the water needs to be room temp, so fill the glass and let it sit out all night. nancy j a child is diagnosed with asd every 20 seconds From: By Definition <bydefinitionofunderstanding@...> Subject: [ ] Re: Help! Guest guest
I would love love love for this test to be legit! But my question is this: we all have yeast to one degree or another so wouldn't this happen to everyone or just people with yeast overgrowth? I can't wait to try it tomorrow morning lol. -Tammy ________________________________ From: nancy cook <endofautism@...> Sent: Mon, August 23, 2010 8:49:35 PM Subject: Re: [ ] Re: Help! Guest guest
the way you know how bad your yeast is, is the speed with which it grows legs or sinks or fogs the water. Mine stayed perfectly clear and didn't grow any legs, etc. It had absolutely no response. My husbands, however, grew leg, sank to the bottom and fogged the water all within 15 minutes. He has chronic jock itch, itchy skin and athletes foot, soooooooo go figure!! For us it worked. I have never had any fungal infections, no vaginal stuff, never even got athletes foot in the gym or locker room in high school or college. nancy j a child is diagnosed with asd every 20 seconds From: By Definition <bydefinitionofunderstanding@...> Subject: [ ] Re: Help! Guest guest
It would be less perfect if you didn't do it as seems to recall, or know (better than I) Thanks for a better recollection of the more precise (accurate) details of the test, . Try the test now with tap water (or bottled water, or purified water, whatever you have?) Tammy and you " would very likely " get a relatively accurate read, if you have a fair measure of yeast, I'm quite sure. (We all did in our family, some more than others) If I recall, you do not get a very pronounced effect of what described immediately and it could take an hour to see some strings and such. You could get very immediate results with lots of yeast, (of the mouth/saliva and what that represents?) or so the test developer said. (I can't recall at this time) Apparently people with no yeast issue show *nothing* (visibly noticeable) but their original gob after an hour. Evaluate your situation relatively in that respect I would advise, of comparing things under similar circumstances for a reasonable control of where things are with you and your yeast relative to as much? I suspect many people wouldn't go through as much where it was any more complicated or difficult than that, that professional medical labs necessarily do any better than that, for what they charge? for what they could prove, actually prove? Why wait. Encompass as much as you can in your research by testing as much as you can in that respect, where what chlorinated tap water (etc?) does to yeast (and whatever) might also be something worth exploring for what's going on with respect to such testing? Does anyone know if heavy metal manifests in spit sinking more to the bottom of the glass than usual? (I've heard, actually) Maybe there's a " mercury " [toxicity?] test somewhat as simple and effective as that as well, that anyone has shared that with us so far... That would be something worth working on. Who wants to pay labs to do something ($$$=?)) where that should prove unnecessary. Is there a chemist or biochemist or lab technician or " whatever " reading this who could help us in that respect? Guest guest
Im not sure how common it is, but my sons stool cultures never showed yeast until this last one. His Organic Acid Test, however, always flagged for yeast. Karla > > My sons lab report for a fungus culture with stain says there is was no fungus observed. Guest guest
the reason you need distilled water is cause if you use city water that has chlorine in it, the chlorine will kill the yeast so it doesn't react. We did it for the whole family, I only gave you the best results and the worst ones. We did all nine of us. nancy j a child is diagnosed with asd every 20 seconds From: By Definition <bydefinitionofunderstanding@...> Subject: [ ] Re: Help! Guest guest
! I did the spit test with my son this morning (we used nursery water).....ok, the saliva was not even in the glass for two seconds and the strings appeared - it looked like cob webs...tons of them working their way down to the bottom of the glass. It didn't really get foggy though. Just slightly in the very bottom center of wine glass. then all his little spit bubbles just lingered at the top of the water on the edge of the glass. very very attractive. sorry for the nasty details, guys. So it's fair to say we've got yeast going on here big time. I have a three part question: 1) I'm upping the GSE, I just started biotin yesterday and we do probiotics. You think I should give the biotin a few more days or throw something else into the pot, too? 2) his poop is fine. no string things, ever.....I imagine this to be a good thing Or is it more likely that the yeast is in his brain and other tissues and not his gut? (Good belly. no history of GI issues at all) 3) I'm so sure it's in his ear.....can I put GSE drops right in his ear canal? Thanks : ) -Tammy ________________________________ From: nancy cook <endofautism@...> Sent: Mon, August 23, 2010 8:49:35 PM Subject: Re: [ ] Re: Help!
