Guest guest
I am not sure what you mean when you say your son has both characteristics. But, as far as damaging kidneys, you will not damage healthy kidneys with the AC protocol. If you wish to check basic kidney/liver function prior to chelation, you can have CBC and Metabolic Panel (bloodwork) run. Does your child already have poor kidney function? Make sure he stays hydrated; that is the best protection. My guess is someone has told you chelation will damage the kidneys. Improper chelation just might. Low dose/high frequency chelation should not. Pam > > Has anyone had experience with the a.m. Topics and chelating your kid??? My DS has both " characteristics " and I am weary of damaging his kidneys even at low dose AC protocol, what is the best way to protect kidneys while chelating? . Guest guest
No Pam, nobody has told me that, as a matter of fact, I know that both liver and kidneys are damaged from the presence of HM, that's why I am so eager to start....but yes, my kid tends to have elevated liver enzymes and right NOW, he is having kidney problems of unidentified cause. I am really worried about him, he drinks a lot of water, but pees more than he is drinking...not good. Guest guest
What is HM? High mercury? My son had shown an elevated liver enzyme from time to time but it was isolated and seemingly nothing. I think it was AST but I cannot remember. For the liver, milk thistle is good and ALA actually is protective to the liver. Since you have the blood tests, that means you are under a doctor's care? DAN!? Excessive urination isn't necessarily a sign of problems with the kidneys. The pituitary gland is also involved. What specific blood work is showing problems? Do you have measurement of creatine clearance? Personally, based solely on what you say, I'd delay chelating until I figured out if any kidney or liver function problems exist. Guest guest
Isa, Sorry to know about your kid's kidney problems. I have few suggestions, if its suits you;) Stop his Spinach intake, watch out for Calcium intake in all foods and may be its wise to back off on Calcium supplementation for 3-5 days. Good Luck! Guest guest
I second Sasmita's suggestions. I know a traditional Indian (India's) Water Therapy that may be helpful. It is very simple to follow. Just start low and slow (like Autism biomedical intervention). Better talk to his doctor before. Check out this link: http://nitaai.net/forums/viewtopic.php?id=2024 Also, make sure to give enough Magnesium and Vitamin D when supplementing Calcium. Guest guest
Peeing too much can be corrected rather easily with herbs. You might want to consider finding an herbalist in your area.
