Guest guest
Have you checked the files section? Lots of good information there. A Hair test would be the first one Id get. That will safely tell you if heavy metal toxicity is a problem and give you lots of other valuable information. Its inexpensive as far as tests go and you can order it on your own. Most other tests require a Dr's signature. Two that I wish Id done early on are the CDSA (acomprehensive stool test) and an Organic Acid Test. Will tell you if yeast/bacteria are problems, if protien/fat malabsorbtion is a problem, and if there are vitamins/minerals deficiencies. Your ped should be able to order them, but a DAN Dr might be more familiar with them. One test I would NOT do is Urine Toxic Metals. Usually involes giving a high dose of a chelating agent to see if heavy metals are a problem. Its not safe and could cause more problems. Do the hair test. It will give you better info and all you have to give is a hair sample. Have you considered a Gluten Free/Casein Free Diet? Its not a cure by any stretch, but it can be very helpful. Its been very helpful with my son. Some here use DAN Drs, some dont. We do, but finding a good one wasnt easy, most arent cheap and there are very few that take insurance, so thats something to consider. He makes very short eye contact, and it can be better when he is laying on his back or with a distance. When he is lift up or close to my face, he will look at somewhere else. He will smile at me but barely laughing. He used to " talk " to me for 20 minutes at 2 months but not a sound now. Guest guest
Get a hair test and avoid DAN doctors since most if not all of them use dangerous protocols. If your children/cousin have mercury poisoning which can be confirmed with a hair test and the patients history then follow Andy Cutler's protocol strictly. Don't get talked into doing something dangerous by a DAN doctor. > > > > hi.I am new to the group, Here is my situation > > 1. I have a cousin, 26,has the symptom of autism. Guest guest
Your 5 month old has only had one vaccine so far? Or do you live in the US and has he had all of the other vaccines up to this point? I would seriously reconsider shots for your 5 month old. If you feel he has to be immunized, then at least wait until he is something like 2 yrs. I caution using a DAN! doctor unless you are going to do a lot of your own research so you can decide along with the doctor what you are going to do (and not just do everything they recommend). You'll need to find a DAN! doctor who is willing to work this way, too. If your pediatrician will do the lab work, then use your pediatrician to save $$. I always felt having a baseline CBC and metabolic panel (both blood) were good so I had something to compare with if we ran in to problems down the line. That is just me. Those are very common tests that a pediatrician would probably do for you without much question. You also might want to consider the gluten/casein free diet for both of your boys. If you are still breastfeeding, then you should go GFCF yourself. I am sure this diet stopped my son's regression in to Autism when he was 19 months, but I'm not sure as to exactly why. But, diet changes are something you can do by yourself (without a doctor) and I usually suggest it to all parents. We seem to see about 1/2 of kids responding well to the GFCF diet and, to me, that makes it worth the effort to at least give it a try. Take time to read the Files section on the left hand side of this page and perhaps look at www.talkaboutcuringautism.org for info on the diet. Take care, pam > > > > hi.I am new to the group, Here is my situation > > 1. I have a cousin, 26,has the symptom of autism. (there was no diagnose of autism when he is young in my country) > > 2. Guest guest
If your kids don't show they are mercury toxic, that does not mean they do not have vaccine damage, nor does it mean a doctor can tell you there is nothing you can do. I know that isn't what this message was implying, but I wanted to make that clear. Neurological damage from vaccines or other environmental assaults are much more than just mercury. A pediatrician will only tell you that vaccines are mercury free now and conclude you are just a paranoid parent who has read too many articles on the Internet. There are some supplements you can give your children (at least your 3 yr old) like vitamin C, zinc, omega 3 fatty acids, vitamin E, B complex to help with any inflammation or damage. Guest guest
Thank you guys for the advice. My baby only took his 2months shot, I did not let them do the 4 months one and I will postpone them. But they still combine 3-4 ones in the shot he took. I am writting a letter to the ped to see if i can get something from her. Again you people are so kind to give me those helpful information. thanks
Guest guest
But he got the Hep B at birth, too? The DTaP, HepB, Hib, IPV, PCV (pneumococcol) are all recommended at 2 months (HepB might not be). Yes, that can be a lot for an immune system to handle. Pam > > Thank you guys for the advice.
