Guest guest
The application states that you will be assigned doctor that you agree to in writing. Specifically " I understand that a New Generation Medical Doctor (NGMD) will be assigned to my child and that I have no choice in this matter and cannot change the assigned doctor " . If you've seen a DAN Dr before your not eligible for the grant. Karla > > > > Hi April, > > Thanks for passing you along. It says grantees get 2 visits with a doctor who specializes in autism. Are these docs who follow safe protocols or just ones who have attended a DAN conference or some other criteria? Do the families have any choice of doctors. > > S S > > > > Generation Rescue grants & Autism One > > Posted by: " April " april243@ april243@ > > Mon May 3, 2010 11:08 am (PDT) > > > > Hi All, > > > > A couple of things I wanted to pass on to the group are as follows; here's the link to the Generation Rescue grant now available for families who have not begun bio-medical except for the Gluten and Casein free diet: > > > > http://www.generationrescue.org/about/grants > > >
Guest guest
They have doctors that they work with that have agreed to help them -- some give more than the alloted time, some donate a portion of the treatment. It costs $2,500 per child for the three months getting them started and the doctors that they work with are very good, compassionate doctors that believe, in general, what all of us believe with regards to detox and environmental toxins. Now, most of them are DAN protocol (read chemical chelation) but I know of some of them are ok with the AC protocol, as well as with PCA-Rx, NDF, etc. If you have specific questions, call and ask. They are very sweet ladies. Guest guest
I emailed the lady who does the grants and she said: " If they go on our website and look up the NGMD’s..those are the ones that they are assigned to " These are the doctors that they will refer you to: http://www.generationrescue.org/recovery/doctors Warm Regards, Summer McFarland 1.22 HEAL KIDS 1.224.325.5437 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------\ ------------------------------------- Over fourteen years of organic search engine optimization, marketing and design. Guest guest
I am still not clear on the answer. Do you have to go to California to see *their* specified doctor, or will they assign you one in your state? Never seen a DAN before (could not afford it and insurance did not cover) > > > > > > Hi April, > > > Thanks for passing you along. Guest guest
I assume that because there are DANs and Gen Rescue Drs in most states (Ga has both) that you would not be required to travel to Ca. However, since assumptions can be incorrect, you can always call 1.877.98AUTISM and verify this. Karla > > > > > > > > Hi April, > > > > Thanks for passing you along. Guest guest
Thanks for the link!! Those are not to far from me and it sounds do-able. I think I will apply. One is a chiropractor; does that still qualify as a DAN?? > > I emailed the lady who does the grants and she said: > > " If they go on our website and look up the NGMD’s..those are the ones that they are assigned to " > > These are the doctors that they will refer you to: > http://www.generationrescue.org/recovery/doctors > > Warm Regards, > > Summer McFarland > 1.22 HEAL KIDS > 1.224.325.5437 > --------------------------------------------------------------------------------\ ------------------------------------- > Over fourteen years of organic search engine optimization, marketing and design. >

Guest guest
I would love to find a doctor that knew about Autism, especially in adolescents. The nearest on the list was in Virginia; a long way.
