Hi Mic ~ I used to take it daily when I would have reactions from everything.

And i mean everything. Now sometimes I forget. But I absolutely take it

before I go into a store or if someone comes over with perfume. (even

outside i react). After I get away from them ASAP I go take 2 Quercetin. I

take in now about 3 - 5 times per week.

The brand I get from my local health store is Twinlab Quercetin + C

Hypoallergenic & Citrus Free With corn free Vitamin C It is 1,400 Vit C &

500 mg Quercetin. Cost is $14.95. It even helped when I would get bumps in

my mouth after eating foods.

My son suffers from intense pollen allergy during springtime. I have read that

quercetin can help reduce the symptoms.

Can anybody confirm that? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hi , OLE works wonders for my entire family. Not sure about Quercetin.

We use this brand and it's

very high quality and also not too expensive.

My DAN actually just advised us to use this as an anti-inflammatory and

anti-allergy supplement. We just started though, so can't really say how

well it works.

Quercetin works great at our house in reducing allergy symptoms. Also since

eliminating foods that we are reactive too, we have found that seasonal

allergies have lessened as well.

Hope this helps.

Irene,

What is the dose you use for your kids? I have a 4 year old with severe food

allergies, and need to buy a good and safe brand. Where do you buy it?

thank you,

We use Quercetin by Jarrow Formulas which is allergen free I believe. I take

the full 500 mg capsules. My son hasn't had to take it in a long time - as

chelation has progressed he doesn't have allergies anymore. He took less than

half of what I do in divided doses. He had phenol issues and quercetin is high

phenol, so I gave a no phenol enzyme. Every child is different, and my son

needs very low doses of everything. I would say to start low and see how it

goes. You can always up the dose as needed.

I haven't heard of it being used for Hep C... I've heard of it being used as a cancer prevention and heart disease prevention but not for Hep C.  This is what I found online..

Despite some promising preliminary studies, it’s too early to recommend quercetin as a supplement. You have no idea what’s in the bottle you buy; there could be little or no quercetin, or excessive amounts. Quercetin absorption can vary, depending on its source. And no one knows what dose should be taken.

It doesn't seem like anyone knows too much about this.  I would be leery of this one.

Marie and Don,

Thanks Marie for the new and exciting info and Don for pointing us toward

information on it.

As a virgin from treatment, I'd certainly apply for the clinical trial, but alas

and alack, most trials only want you " young folks " and I moved from the LA area

six years ago.

Interesting how diabetes keeps coming up in discussions of Hep C treatments.

Guess sugar isn't good for our liver either and fuels our Hep C. All those years

of dieting must have been a factor in slowing my Hep C (my opinion). I've read

somewhere that obesity slows possibility of SVR with treatment.

I go to the store and read how many carbs on labels ( diabetes class told me to

do that) and there is almost nothing to put in my cart.
