I have been giving my son 2:1 - B12 to folic - is this correct? I searched the archives but couldn't get a definitive answer. Does anyone know? When I started oral mB12, my son needed a boatload of folic acid [and a bit of carnitine]. As his levels normalized, I was able to reduce the folic. I don't think there is any recommended ratio. I have read that most parents give 800-1600mcg folic per day. In the beginning, my son needed MUCH more than that. If I gave too little or too much folic, it caused problems. So it was basically an experiment to determine how much folic my son needed at any given time. Dana
