Hi , when my knee was inflamed I was told to stay off it during times

of inflamation.........still can exercise it but without the weight bearing.

I used crutches when I had to do any amount of walking and I suppose this

helped maintain the joint. Please talk to your doctor and see what

he/she suggests for you.
