Guest guest
Not sure I would mess with whooping cough at that age. If your MD prescribes an antibiotic, you don't necessarily have to fill it or use it. But, it would be nice to know what you are dealing with for sure. I hope she feels better real soon. Pam > > Sorry to post off topic but not sure where else to turn as my child has whooping cough. I know if I bring her to her pedi, he will put her on an antibiotic. She doesn't have autism (that is my son) but I still do not want to have her on an antibiotic unless absolutely necessary. She is 3 years old, typical and healthy; she was vaccinated up to 9 months old until I smartened up so she has had 3 of the dpat vaccinations but not the full series...(another example of vaccines not working). So if anyone has any natural remedy they can send my way, I would appreciate it. Feel free to email me at lpopick@... so not to clog up the group with OT topics. Thanks you!!! > >
Guest guest
How do you know it's whooping cough, by the sound? If it isn't that bad, I'd wait it out and do the usual things- cold air to open airways, steamy hot showers/baths, antioxidants...if it is bad, you should bring her in and they will usually give some kind of steroid. Don't know about the antibiotics. > > Sorry to post off topic but not sure where else to turn as my child has whooping cough. I know if I bring her to her pedi, he will put her on an antibiotic.
