Guest guest
Thanks for posting this . How does the lead get into the juice in the first place? How are we supposed to know which juice has lead in it? I guess I have to get into juicing now if I want safe juice...unless of course the lead is in the fruit. > >* Group finds lead in kids' drinks. > <http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=127747666> > >A California environmental group found levels of lead in >children's juice products that far exceed state law - and in some >cases also exceed federal levels for young children. Guest guest
Thanks for that list. I see some organic juices listed there. I still would like to know how the lead gets in there in the first place. I live outside the US and would like to know how one is supposed to know that lead gets into fruit juices. How are consumers supposed to protect themselves from this type of thing. Isn't anything safe anymore? > > > Here's a list of juices tested; > Â > http://www.envirolaw.org/documents/ProductsTestedforLeadFINAL.pdf > > Environmental Law Fooundation web site: http://www.envirolaw.org/currentcases.html
Guest guest
Wow, thank you for sharing this post . Our country's food supply issues never cease to amaze me. As fast as I am trying to chelate heavy metals outta my kiddos, our stinky food suppliers are trying to put 'em back Double growl.... Couldn't believe how many organic juices were on the list! I wonder if it is a contamination issue during processing versus a grower's issue?
