Guest guest
I think I PMed you about this, did you try Carnosine? My daughter is still playing with her poop but not eating it so much. We are running a stool test to check for parasites and also doing a very sensitive minerals test, the DAN thinks she might have some mineral derangement. I hope this gets better for you, I know it is so stressful. > > I thought I posted this in the morning, but it disappeared. > > Anyhow, I have not been able to stop my son from smearing and eating his poop every chance he gets, so I've been giving him Olive leaf once a day. He has been having these really nasty diarrheas every few hours, usually after eating poop-so I'm gessing his body is doing it's best to flush out all the bad stuff he ingested. > > After a nasty poop he will have a normal one, until he does it again and the body flushes it out again-his is a nightmare!1!! > > I have been chelating with ACs protocol for the past month on the weekends since other moms are doing the same with no problems. Guest guest
I had a problem with my son sucking the ink out of markers. One of the things I saw about PICA was a zinc deficiency. Since he takes so many things, I tried putting the zinc on his feet at night before he goes to bed. Stopped within a couple of weeks. Guest guest
we used a product called vermaplex (it is herb combo) on my son, it totally stopped the poop playing, saliva playing, eating non edibles, teeth grinding etc.... took a few months though. deborah > > I thought I posted this in the morning, but it disappeared. > > Anyhow, I have not been able to stop my son from smearing and eating his poop every chance he gets, so I've been giving him Olive leaf once a day. Guest guest
I have not tried carnosine, but since it's about the only thing I haven't tried....I will and let you all know what happens. Guest guest
They do, but seems like if he takes zinc orally that should be sufficient. I think the other thing was iron deficiency which my son also has. Good luck with this. I know it is really bothersome. My oldest child has Downs. When she was a baby, she did the same thing. It about drove me nuts. > > > > From: <twins_oh_my@... > <twins_oh_my%40>> > > Subject: [ ] Re: Questions about the poop > eating issues and > > parasites > > > < %40> > > Date: Tuesday, July 27, 2010, 7:03 AM > > > > > > > > > > I think I PMed you about this, did you try Carnosine? > My daughter is still > > playing with her poop but not eating it so much. Guest guest
How much Zinc is he taking? Should be at least 1mg per pound plus 20mg.
